In the all-time great Rookie of the Year race of 2024, don’t forget about Caden Bunch, who renewed his push for the top in Milwaukee. Plus, travel delays wreak havoc on Round 1, Brady Fielder shows what he’s made of, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
Way back in November, Caden Bunch won his first Unleash The Beast event – literally, it was his first event – at the first premier series event of the season. At the PBR Milwaukee, presented by Cooper Tires, Bunch earned his second win of the season to re-enter the Top 10 in the UTB World Championship standings.
Bunch tied for the Round 1 win with fellow rookie sensation John Crimber, who is still ranked No. 2 in the standings. Get ready for one hell of a race!
Crimber was one of the riders to convert in the post-Round 1 bonus round, held when 10 riders couldn’t make it to Milwaukee in time to compete in Round 1. They may take on 1,500-pound bovines for a living, but even bull riders aren’t immune to travel delays.
Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…
This weekend, the Velocity Tour headed to Bangor, Maine, for the crown jewel in the regular-season schedule and the only three-day event of the season. Eli Vastbinder won Round 1…
…and Canadian Nick Tetz took the honors in Round 2…
…but ultimately, it was Andrew Alvidrez earning the event win.
Down south in Mobile, Alabama, Ederson Santos secured his second event win of the season with a 2-for-2 showing.
