Bangor, ME. – After three days of bull riding at the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Bangor at Cross Insurance Center, Andrew Alvidrez (Seminole, Texas) stood victorious, going 2-for-4.
Paired with Blaze (J Bar W) in Round 1, the Texan lost the rope after 2.72 seconds.
Undeterred, the veteran rider for the Missouri Thunder on the separate PBR Camping World Team Series then rebounded in Round 2, thundering out of the chutes on Lil Beagle (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for 82.5 points.
Alvidrez was once again bucked off in Round 3, this time at the hooves of Real OG (Dave Martin/Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in 2.47 seconds, but he proved his mettle once again, winning the championship round by topping Pneu-Dart’s Chief Wahoo (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for an event-high 88.5 points.
The victory netted the Texan a critical 146 Velocity Global points.
Fellow Texan Mason Taylor (Maypearl, Texas) finished second.
After topping Lemonader (Lucky E Rodeo) for 77.5 points in the opening round, he was bucked off by Grande Patron (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in 7.5 seconds in Round 2.
Undeterred, the Nashville Stampede’s Taylor seized the event lead with a round-winning 86.5-point outing on Ice Box (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) in Round 3.
Looking to secure the event buckle, the Texan roared out of the chutes on South Point Dance Monkey (Painted Pony Championship Rodeo) in the final frame of the championship round but lost the rope after a thrilling 5.69 seconds.

In search of his first career PBR victory, the Brazilian cowboy rocketed out of the gate for 82.5 points on Helena’s Pet (J Bar W) in Round 1.
He then kept his momentum in Round 2, riding High Society (J Bar W) for 68 points to overtake the event lead heading into championship Sunday.
Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he was bested by Ice Man (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) in 4.37 seconds in Round 3 and Red Man (C-B Bucking Bulls) in 1.41 seconds in his final out to settle for third.

Round 1 winner Eli Vastbinder (Statesville, North Carolina) came in fourth.
A veteran rider for the 2023 PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers, Vastbinder won Round 1 by topping Inaffit (Dave Martin/Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for 86 points.
Matched with Oakie (C-B Bucking Bulls) Saturday evening, the North Carolinian was bested in 4.00 seconds, keeping him second in the event standings.

The veteran tried to rebound in the championship round but was bested by Muss Buss (C-B Bucking Bulls) in 1.61 seconds.
Vastbinder returned home with 55 Velocity Global points.
Rounding out the Top 5 was Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta, Canada).
After being bucked off by Evad Nitram (Dave Martin/Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, Tetz converted aboard Chute Boss (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) for 84.5 to win Round 2.

He left Cross Insurance Center with 51 Velocity Global points for his 1-for-4 performance.
Also of note was sixth-place finisher Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania).
After being shut out across the first two days of action, Cole bounced back on Sunday, covering J Bar W 812 (J Bar W) for 84 points, placing second in the round.
Looking to continue his surge up the standings in the championship round, Cole thundered out of the chutes on Back In Black (C-B Bucking Bulls) but was dismounted in a heartbreaking 7.76 seconds.
The sixth-place finish earned the Pennsylvanian 36 Velocity Global points.
Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.
In a rank bull pen that allowed just five rides on Sunday, Pneu-Dart’s Chief Wahoo won the Bull of the Event title for his 1.76-second buckoff of Dalton Rudman (Wellington, Utah) in Round 1, marked 43.5 points.
As the action wrapped up in Bangor, the PBR’s elite Unleash The Beast closes out the final day of action at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
