#InCaseYouMissedIt: Alan de Souza sweeps Washington events

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

It’s an impressive enough feat to win one Unleash The Beast event in a week. This past week in Washington, Alan de Souza won two. Plus, Keyshawn Whitehorse and Kaiden Loud try to climb into the Top 15 before the PBR World Finals, Velocity Tour action continued, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the Unleash The Beast…

The week began with a midweek slate in Everett, Washington, as No. 5 Alan de Souza went 3-for-3 to earn his first event win of the season.

Then, just four days later, Souza claimed yet another event buckle after another 3-for-3 performance in Tacoma. Not bad for a week of work!

The world title race remained spicy in the Evergreen State even as No. 1 Cassio Dias was held in check, with No. 2 John Crimber winning Round 1 in Everett

…and No. 4 Dalton Kasel winning Round 1 in Tacoma.

Equally as intriguing is the race to get into the Top 15 – at the end of the Elimination Rounds at the PBR World Finals on May 9-12, those riders advance directly to the Championship at AT&T Stadium. In Everett, No. 16 Cort McFadden put on an impressive showing.

In Tacoma, No. 18 Keyshawn Whitehorse started things off with a hugely important qualified ride

and No. 20 Kaiden Loud looked to take advantage of his opportunity to climb the standings.

Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…

At the penultimate Velocity Tour event of the season, Marcelo Procopio Pereira and Paulo Ferreira Lima tied for the event win in Wichita, Kansas.

In the Touring Pro Division…

Jean Fernandes Pereira went 2-for-2 to take the win at the PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.
