#InCaseYouMissedIt: Cowboys stumble, PBR Teams Championship race gets tight at Cowboy Days

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

The Carolina Cowboys have been on top of the 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series standings all season, but at Cowboy Days this past weekend, that position got as tenuous as it’s ever been. Plus, the Texas Rattlers record a perfect game, the Kansas City Outlaws and Florida Freedom stay red-hot, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the PBR Team Series…

GREENSBORO, DAY 1

The Cowboys were hot out of the gate on Friday night at Cowboy Days, taking down the Outlaws with a 4-for-5 performance. Also, the Freedom defeated the New York Mavericks, the Nashville Stampede edged the Arizona Ridge Riders by half a point, and the Rattlers beat the Missouri Thunder thanks to the third perfect game of the season.

GREENSBORO, DAY 2

On day two in Greensboro, the Cowboys were shut out in a shocking upset loss to the Stampede. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Wildcatters squeaked past the Thunder by 0.75 points, the Freedom walked it off against the Austin Gamblers, and the Rattlers did the same against the Ridge Riders.

GREENSBORO, DAY 3

The Cowboys were shocked again on Sunday at Cowboy Days, falling to the Thunder by one ride to slip to just half a game ahead of the Outlaws in the standings. The Outlaws, meanwhile, had a late surge to beat the Ridge Riders, the Gamblers took down the Mavericks, and the Freedom became the first team in history with at least three rides in six consecutive games with their win over the Wildcatters.

Meanwhile, on the Challenger Series…

Texan Colton Burkhard went 2-for-2 to win the PBR Stockyards Showcase at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.
