#InCaseYouMissedIt: Third time’s the charm for the Kansas City Outlaws

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

Ridge Rider Days in Glendale, Arizona, was the second-to-last regular-season event before the 2023 PBR Teams Championship, and the Kansas City Outlaws brought the heat in the desert. Plus, the Austin Gamblers clinched a playoff bye, Silvano Alves inched closer to history, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the PBR Team Series…

GLENDALE, DAY 1

The Outlaws began their weekend with a resounding win over the Carolina Cowboys

behind Cassio Dias, who’s having the season of his life as he chases the MVP award.

The Nashville Stampede just squeaked by the Arizona Ridge Riders, but it was a big one nonetheless – Silvano Alves provided the only ride for Nashville, and it was career ride No. 499.

In an even closer game, the Oklahoma Freedom just barely edged the Austin Gamblers.

The Texas Rattlers had some breathing room as they defeated the Missouri Thunder.

GLENDALE, DAY 2

With the passing of the trade deadline, the team rosters are now officially set for Las Vegas.

The Outlaws rode three bulls against the No. 1 Gamblers to continue their hot streak.

The hometown Ridge Riders also rode three bulls, defeating the Thunder for their first win of the weekend.

Arizona’s Nick Tetz is showing remarkable poise as he contends in PBR Teams and in PBR Canada competition.

In another three-bull win, the Freedom dominated the Stampede.

Arizona native and Texas Rattler Cody Jesus secured a win for his squad against the Cowboys.

GLENDALE, DAY 3

The Outlaws defeated the Rattlers to improve to a perfect 3-0 and win their third event of the season.

The Gamblers finally got into the win column on Sunday, defeating the Stampede…

to clinch a first-round bye at the 2023 PBR Teams Championship. Let’s goooo!

The Ridge Riders only out-rode the Freedom by a single point, but it was enough to secure the game win.

The Thunder, meanwhile, only out-rode the Cowboys by .25 points, but it was also enough to secure their first win of the weekend.

Meanwhile, on the Challenger Series…

Lorenzo Lopez went 2-for-2 to win the PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.

Rookie phenom John Crimber kept his hot streak going with a win in Ruidoso, New Mexico – his seventh win in just over a month. Yes, you read that correctly.

Up north in PBR Canada…

Coy Robbins won Round 1 in Grande Prairie, Alberta

…but Dakota Buttar won the event to take over the No. 1 ranking in PBR Canada.
