#InCaseYouMissedIt: Carolina Cowboys clean house in Duluth

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

PBR Camping World Team Series action headed south to Duluth, Georgia, this past weekend, and things were just peachy (get it?) for the Carolina Cowboys. The boys in blue swept through the competition, the Austin Gamblers finally got in the win column, the Oklahoma Wildcatters turned in a four-ride effort, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the PBR Team Series…

DULUTH, DAY 1

On the first night of competition in Duluth, the Cowboys defeated the Ridge Riders to improve to 3-0 on the season. Elsewhere, the reigning champion Texas Rattlers beat the Florida Freedom, the Nashville Stampede stomped the Kansas City Outlaws, and the Austin Gamblers defeated the New York Mavericks.

For the Gamblers, it was their first win in a season that hasn’t started out the way they’d wanted.

DULUTH, DAY 2

Night two in Duluth saw the Cowboys trounce the Gamblers to remain undefeated. Meanwhile, the Outlaws beat the Freedom, the Ridge Riders soundly defeated the Rattlers, and the Wildcatters poured it on against the Thunder.

Oklahoma’s win was its first four-ride performance, impressing head coach J.B. Mauney with the grit and tenacity he was known for.

DULUTH, DAY 3

The Cowboys just kept rolling on day three in Duluth, defeating the Outlaws to improve to 5-0 this season. Additionally, the Mavericks earned their first-ever win as they defeated the Wildcatters, the Stampede throttled the Rattlers, and the Thunder beat the Ridge Riders.

Meanwhile, on the Challenger Series…

Andrei Scoparo went 2-for-2 to win the PBR Stockyards Showcase at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.

Up north in PBR Canada…

Wade Marshall won the Lacombe Pro Bull Riding in Alberta with the highest-scored ride of the event.

Nick Tetz improved to 20-for-36 (55.56%) in PBR Canada competition this season with his win in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
