So, this Cassio Dias guy is pretty good, huh? At the PBR Little Rock this weekend, he put his world title chase back into high gear. Plus, Man Hater had a down week, Andrew Alvidrez won his second Velocity Tour event in a row, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
Cassio Dias won the PBR Little Rock this past weekend, and if you think you’ve been hearing about him winning a lot this season, it’s because you have. The win was Dias’s fifth of the season – the single-season record for most event wins is eight, btw – and extended his lead atop the world standings to more than 400 points.
It was also a big weekend for Dias’s Kansas City Outlaws teammate Koltin Hevalow, who won Round 1 and is now ranked No. 5 in the world.
On the bull side of things, it was a surprisingly slow weekend for No. 1 Man Hater. The stout bovine snapped his streak of four consecutive bull scores of 46 points or more… but Man Hater’s down weekends are up weekends for almost any other bull.
Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…
Jake Morinec won Round 1 of the PBR Wheeling…
…but Andrew Alvidrez went 2-for-3 to earn his second Velocity Tour event win in a row.
On the opposite coast, Trace Redd won Round 1 in Palm Springs, California…
…ultimately taking the event title.
In the Touring Pro Division…
Lucas Fideles Souza earned his second PBR Stockyards Showcase event title thanks to his Round 1 win.
