John Crimber has been having an extraordinary rookie season on the Unleash The Beast, and his bid for a world title at season’s end got significantly stronger in Jacksonville. Plus, the PBR Camping World Team Series made some headlines, the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour was in action around the country, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
We’re more than halfway through the 2024 Unleash The Beast season, and the world title race got a little spicier at the U.S. Border Patrol PBR Jacksonville. John Crimber, 18-year-old phenom, went 3-for-3 to earn his first career UTB win and climb to No. 2 in the standings.
Crimber led from wire to wire, tying for the Round 1 win with veterans Cody Jesus and Dalton Kasel.
On the PBR Camping World Team Series…
Start spreading the news! PBR Teams is expanding to 10 teams as the league welcomes the New York Mavericks and the Oklahoma Wildcatters.
What does this expansion mean for the league?
Elsewhere, the Florida Freedom and the Carolina Cowboys completed a trade…
…swapping Tate Pollmeier and Conner Halverson.
Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…
Dener Barbosa won Round 1 in Hampton, Virginia…
…and held on to take the event win, his second in as many weekends.
Also in Hampton, the PBR honored a group of U.S. Navy sailors who fly in planes named after some very familiar bovines.
Up the coast in Worcester, Massachusetts, Joao Paulo Fernandes won Round 1 of the PBR Worcester…
…and ultimately took home the event win.
In the Touring Pro Division…
After finishing second at last week’s PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas, Lucas Fideles Souza stayed hot to win with a 2-for-2 showing this week.
