PBR announces the launch of PBR+ streaming service

PBR+ is the new home of the PBR Camping World Team Series and Unleash The Beast, with exclusive content you won't find anywhere else.

By Darci Miller

FORT WORTH, Texas – It’s time to go buck wild.

Following in the footsteps of NFL, ESPN, NBA and other major sports organizations in bringing super fans the most epic content in one convenient place, the PBR has announced the launch of PBR+, the league’s new streaming service set to bring fans more bull riding coverage than there’s ever been before.

Starting Oct. 8, PBR+ offers exclusive PBR content that you can’t get anywhere else. All PBR Camping World Team Series and Unleash The Beast events will be broadcast live and include the option to watch the in-arena feeds from the events, which is always live. Additionally, PBR+ is the new home of the Challenger Series and Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour and will also feature additional PBR and Western sports events, including Women’s Rodeo and the newly reimagined PBR Now series.

"While Merit and Merit+ continue to offer fans some of the greatest bull riding out there, PBR+ is an elevated streaming experience designed with super fans in mind," said PBR Chief Marketing Officer Mark Fine. "Our passionate fan base is the heart and soul of PBR and providing them streaming access to the PBR library whenever and wherever they want with all things PBR and Western sports is important to us.”

PBR+ marks the next evolution of the PBR's direct-to-consumer offering, building upon what the league built with PBR’s RidePass channel. PBR+ will be the exclusive home of the largest curated video on demand library, bringing you tons of rank PBR action from the last several years. RidePass, still a 24/7 linear channel full of PBR live events and Western sports replays, is accessible on PBR+.

Subscriptions are free through the end of the year, but only if you sign up on pbrplus.com. As of Jan. 1, 2025, a PBR+ subscription costs $9.99/month or $79.99/year.

PBR+ joins Merit Street and Merit+ to bring fans more ways to watch the PBR than ever before. Merit Street and Merit+ will still be free and offer access to PBR Teams, PBR Unleash The Beast events and Women's Rodeo events. Meanwhile, PBR will still feature on CBS Television Network through 2030.

But if you want all PBR, all the time, PBR+ is where it’s at.

On Oct. 17, stream the Challenger Series Championship and the first-ever Ride-In Round for the 2024 PBR Teams Championship exclusively on PBR+.

Never miss a moment.

Read on to have your burning questions answered.

Q: What is PBR+?

A: PBR+ is a streaming subscription offering unprecedented access to PBR video content, including live events, replays and on-demand content. PBR+ is available as a CTV app (Apple TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Roku – and more to come!), a mobile app (iOS and Android) and here at PBRplus.com.

Q: Can I watch PBR+ on TV?

A: Yes, the PBR+ app is available on your Smart TV on Apple TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Roku. Later this year, it'll also be available on Samsung and LG TVs. You can also cast PBR+ videos to a smart TV device (such as a Firestick or Chromecast) by using the PBR mobile app.

Q: How much does PBR+ cost?

A: For the rest of 2024, PBR+ subscriptions are free! To claim this promotional offer, you must first log in via pbrplus.com, set up your account, input your credit card information and select a monthly or yearly plan. You will not be charged at this time, and you can cancel your PBR+ subscription at any time. On Jan. 1, 2025, your PBR+ subscription will renew with either plan you’ve selected, and you’ll be charged at that time.

Please note: this promotional offer is only valid for accounts that sign up on pbrplus.com through Dec. 31, 2024. Should you initiate your PBR+ account on a mobile app or connected TV app, you will not be eligible for the promotional offer and will be charged the amount based on the plan selected. Once you have initiated your PBR+ account on pbrplus.com and accepted the free promotional offer, you may use this account to freely access PBR+ on all devices.

After Jan. 1, 2025, a PBR+ subscription costs $9.99/month or $79.99/year.

Q: On which devices can I watch PBR+?

A: You can watch PBR+ anytime, anywhere on your favorite device: web, mobile, or connected TVs!

PBR+ can be found on Apple TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Roku. In the near future, it'll also be available on Samsung and LG TVs. You can also download the PBR app now to access PBR+ on your mobile device or cast PBR+ videos to a smart TV device (such as a Firestick or Chromecast). Lastly, you can also tune in on pbrplus.com.

Q: What can I access with PBR+?

A: PBR+ subscribers will have access to live event coverage of the PBR Camping World Team Series and Unleash The Beast. PBR+ is also the new home of live Challenger Series and Velocity Tour events. Additional PBR and Western sports events, including PBR Canada and Women’s Rodeo, will be featured on PBR+, as well as our newly reimaged PBR Now series. PBR+ will also be the exclusive home of the largest curated video on demand library, bringing you tons of rank PBR action from the last several years. PBR's RidePass channel, a 24/7 linear channel full of PBR live events and Western sports replays, is accessible on PBR+ as well.

Q: Which PBR events are available live on PBR+?

A: PBR+ is the premier destination for PBR action, with all PBR Teams and Unleash The Beast events always airing truly live, with choices of broadcast feeds or in-arena feeds that are always “truly live” without broadcast delays. Additionally, the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour and select Challenger Series events will be broadcast live on PBR+, as well as the Ride-In Round, PBR Teams Draft, Stockyards Showcase, PBR NOW!, premier rodeo events like Women's Rodeo, INFR, and so much more!

Q: What's the difference between MERIT+ and PBR+?

A: MERIT+ remains a free news, sports and entertainment streaming service founded by Dr. Phil, and provides access to PBR Teams, PBR Unleash The Beast events and Women's Rodeo events.

PBR+ is a separate streaming subscription service offering the true fan all of the great Western sports content available on Merit+ and so much more! With a PBR+ subscription, you get the most PBR and rodeo action, available anywhere.

Enjoy multiple feeds for all Unleash The Beast and PBR Camping World Team Series events, including an in-arena feed that will always stream live even when there’s a broadcast delay on Merit.

PBR+ is also the new home of the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour and Challenger Series and will broadcast PBR Canada events as well.

Your subscription gives you instant access to the deepest and evolving library of video on demand and curated playlists, as well as access to RidePass for 24/7 Western sports programming.

PBR+ is the one-stop shop for PBR content, including the Teams Championship: Ride-In Round event and Challenger Series Championship, which you can't find anywhere else!

Q: What happened to RidePass?

RidePass is still available! You can still access RidePass on Pluto TV, which will now feature event replays and limited live content. RidePass is also available on Merit+, as well as with your PBR+ subscription, which will feature the most in-depth library of content.

Q: What content is on RidePass compared to PBR+?

A: PBR+ is the home of most exclusive PBR content and an expansive video-on-demand library. Most live content lives on PBR+, including Unleash The Beast and PBR Teams events broadcast without delays. On RidePass, you can find event replays and limited live content, including one night of UTB and Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour events and a few rodeo properties.
