BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Just like that, the first quarter of the 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series regular season is already in the books.
But the tour isn’t slowing down by any means as the 5-on-5 circuit prepares to invade Barclays Center and all that Brooklyn, New York, has to offer this weekend!
If anything, we’re kicking it into double-time, as the camaraderie-driven campaign heads to the Northeast for Week 4’s slate of showdowns.

And when the league’s 10 squads reassemble for the next set of contests, everything runs through the year one New York Mavericks, who are looking to make a statement for their new hometown crowd.
Knowing both the Florida Freedom and Oklahoma Wildcatters produced 2-1 records during their respective debuts means they’ll be gunning for a perfect 2-0 record during the rare two-day showcase. But with the Kansas City Outlaws and Freedom standing in their way, they’ll very much need to log two or three rides per game if they hope to find the win column.
Currently ranked No. 10 overall in both the league standings and weekly power rankings, the Mavericks are indeed still figuring things out. But with a 2-1 record in their last three games, they’re at least trending in the proper direction.

2024 PBR Camping World Team Series Standings: 1. Carolina Cowboys (6-0-1) 2. Oklahoma Wildcatters (4-3-1) 3. Kansas City Outlaws (4-3) 4. Austin Gamblers (4-3) 5. Arizona Ridge Riders (4-3) 6. Florida Freedom (3-4) 7. Nashville Stampede (3-4) 8. Missouri Thunder (3-5) 9. Texas Rattlers (2-5) 10. New York Mavericks (2-5) While they’ll bring some momentum into their homestand, they are far from the only team who will enter Week 4 desperately looking to secure some victories. With both the (3-4) Nashville Stampede and (2-5) Texas Rattlers enduring 0-2 records last weekend at PBR Teams: Freedom Days, the squads knew it was time for change.
And opted into exactly that as the teams swapped personnel during the week.

Plenty of quality competition will be on display this time around, including both Mason Taylor and Cody Jesus, rocking their new colors.
But after posting a flawless 3-0 record last weekend, the (4-3) Austin Gamblers have to be revered as the league’s hottest team right now, drastically turning their 1-3 start around, now one of four teams with matching 4-3 records.

Lineups and draw are in for the fourth of 12 regular season showdowns, so we’re taking a closer look at Friday night’s matchups, rematches and beyond, with some additional game preview insights, latest team transactions and everything you need to know ahead of the weekend’s first slate of games!
With the 5-on-5 circuit set to make its debut in Brooklyn, New York, let’s break down the starting lineups for Friday night’s competition inside Barclays Center (With coverage set to begin at 9 p.m. EST via Merit Street).
PBR TEAMS: MAVERICK DAYS STARTING LINEUPS *Denotes a rematch
(4-3-1) Oklahoma Wildcatters vs. (3-4) Nashville Stampede Cody Jesus vs. Cash Goblin Eduardo Matos vs. Squealin’ Kitty Alan de Souza vs. Snuggles Hayden Harris vs. Rockville Ednelio Almeida vs. Arctic Lights Clay Guiton vs. Living On A Prayer Cody Teel vs. Whip Cort McFadden vs. I’ll Make Ya Famous Silvano Alves vs. Phantom Josh Frost vs. My Bad TRANSACTIONS The Oklahoma Wildcatters released Pokey Houghton from the Reserve Roster. The Oklahoma Wildcatters released Hagen Braswell from the Protected Roster. The Oklahoma Wildcatters signed Hagen Braswell to the Reserve Roster. The Oklahoma Wildcatters signed to the Reserve Roster. The Nashville Stampede traded Mason Taylor to the Texas Rattlers in exchange for Cody Jesus. The Nashville Stampede placed Andrei Scoparo on the Excused Absence List. The Nashville Stampede placed Lucas Martins Costa on the Excused Absence List. Wildcatters vs. Stampede Game Preview The Week 4-opener features a pair of teams who will be hungry for wins and ready to get back in the ride column inside Barclays Center. With the Wildcatters most recently tying the Carolina Cowboys, now responsible for the team’s only imperfect mark, and the Nashville Stampede exiting Freedom Days with an unideal 0-2 slate, we expect to see some rides early and often in this one.
Cody Jesus is set to make his debut with the Nashville Stampede just three days after being dealt to Justin McBride’s squad by the Texas Rattlers on Tuesday. Just 0-for-1 on the season, we don’t think Jesus will have much “bad blood” regarding the situation. But the change of scenery could certainly unlock something for the talented cowboy, set to lead off for Nashville during a dance with Cash Goblin. Veteran Cody Teel is also back in action this weekend, now 1-for-2 after being the only Nashville rider to secure a qualified ride last weekend. Plenty of reasons the Stampede will be primed to put forth a bounce-back effort Friday night. But with Kaiden Loud not in the starting five, Silvano Alves and Alan de Souza will need to put their veteran status on display.
J.B. Mauney and his Wildcatters, sitting in the league’s No. 2 spot, will give the Stampede their all as they look to keep pace with the league’s runaway Carolina Cowboys. And they’re plenty equipped to pick up win No. 5 if Clay Guiton, Cort McFadden and Josh Frost can continue their productive starts. However, it’s Eduardo Matos who joins Guiton and McFadden within the Top 10 of the MVP race as the talented Brazilian is 4-for-8 in 2024. Averaging 179.5 points per-contest, math says two of the four are likely to find pay dirt Friday once again. We know what to expect from that bunch, but it’s Hayden Harris, set to dance with Rockville, which serves as the game’s wild card, as we have only seen him attempt two bulls over the course of the series’ first two seasons.
(2-5) Texas Rattlers vs. (6-0-1) Carolina Cowboys Joao Ricardo Vieira vs. Roc Wit It Cooper Davis vs. King Pin Brady Fielder vs. Black Squirrel Derek Kolbaba vs. Roc Solid Marcelo Procopio Pereira vs. Lever Action Adriano Salgado vs. Simon Mason Taylor vs. Killer Instinct Daylon Swearingen vs. Money Pit *Daniel Keeping vs. Buffalo Chip Sage Steele Kimzey vs. Pneu Dart’s Gold Standard REMATCHES Daniel Keeping vs. Buffalo Chip (87.75 points in Ridgedale, Missouri) TRANSACTIONS The Texas Rattlers traded Cody Jesus to the Nashville Stampede an acquired Mason Taylor. The Texas Rattlers placed Donovan Rutherfurd on the Excused Absence List. Rattlers vs. Cowboys Game Preview This might look like a bit of a David vs. Goliath matchup at first glance, but the defending 2023 PBR Teams Champions in the Texas Rattlers have merely endured a slow start. Don’t let them fool you, as they have most of the same guys as their squad did when they won it all last fall. And with Cody Lambert steering the ship, we can only assume he’s given them quite the stern chat since last weekend’s 0-2 performance. Across the chutes will be a 6-0-1 Carolina Cowboys team who are looking to get back on track after surrendering a tie to the Oklahoma Wildcatters. As the league’s top dawgs, we know they’ll string a few together. So, the rest is up to Texas!
Just like Cody Jesus is getting an opportunity to showcase his skills during his first game with the Nashville Stampede, the Texas Rattlers aren’t wasting any time in seeing what Mason Taylor can bring to the table for the defending champs. Starting the season with a decent 3-for-7 record, Taylor will look to surge into the lineup and secure a qualified ride in the No. 4 spot during a Game 2 dance with Killer Instinct. Set to close things out for the Rattlers, Daniel Keeping prepares for a rematch with Buffalo Chip, whom he bested for 87.75 points at last season’s Thunder Days. Will the Champs be able to turn things around against this season’s standouts? Or will they fall to a snake-bitten 2-6?
Lining up against the Rattlers Friday is an amped-up Cowboys squad who has yet to lose a game in 2024. And knowing they’re bringing the same five starting riders into the contest (after a 6-0-1 start, why would you change anything at this point?) means they’ll be the favored squad. But they’ll still need to put forth their best effort, or at least a quality one, as Texas was able to record a pair of qualified rides in both of their last two matchups. That shouldn’t be a problem for Daylon Swearingen and his checkered flag unit, who have been firing on all cylinders so far.
Add in a pair of MVP contenders in Sage Steele Kimzey and Cooper Davis and it's rather apparent that Carolina is stacked in year three. All they have to do? Keep winning.
(3-4) Florida Freedom vs. (4-3) Arizona Ridge Riders Chase Dougherty vs. Soul King Caden Bunch vs. Black Ice *Eduardo Aparecido vs. Fierce’s Dirtnap Conner Halverson vs. Midnight Magic Luciano De Castro vs. No Socks *Joao Lucas Campos vs. Big Tasty *Keyshawn Whitehorse vs. Red Mosquito Thiago Salgado vs. Yellowstone Bruno Carvalho vs. Shark Bait John Crimber vs. Armageddon REMATCHES Eduardo Aparecido vs. Fierce’s Dirtnap (88 points in Las Vegas, Nevada) Joao Lucas Campos vs. Big Tasty (Re-ride offered in Chicago, Illinois) Keyshawn Whitehorse vs. Red Mosquito (7.41 seconds in Fort Worth, Texas) TRANSACTIONS The Arizona Ridge Riders placed Nick Tetz on the Excused Absence List. The Florida Freedom released Casey Roberts, who elected to become a Restricted Free Agent. The Florida Freedom released Trey Benton III from the Reserve Roster. Freedom vs. Ridge Riders Game Preview If it seems like teams are beating each other up a bit and mixed into a collective mid-pack scrum, it’s because that’s exactly what’s going on right now. Bull riding is hard. And even teams with top-tier trios and some of the deepest rosters have to deal with the reality of one bull at a time. Just the same for teams who have a bonified star on their hands: You still gotta ride! The Arizona Ridge Riders and Florida Freedom are right in the muck of it, with just about every other team right now, but the second game of the night should see some quality conversions.
The brightest star on tour right now is none other than John Crimber, who leads the MVP Teams race with his 7-for-8 start. And with his father Paulo Crimber coaching the Freedom this season, it was only right that the stars aligned to allow the phenom to ride for Florida. Bringing some additional steam with him into his rookie Teams season after coming damn close to making a run at eventual 2024 World Champion Cassio Dias, the youngster is coming off a productive weekend entertaining his franchise’s new Florida fanbase. The same could be said for Thiago Salgado, who turned in an epic 90 to help his team win the final Shootout Game of the weekend.
Up to 3-4 on the season, they’ll turn to Crimber and company to get the job done Friday night against an antsy Arizona team.
For Arizona, the Ridge Riders will see Chase Dougherty make his 2024 debut while continuing to lean on their regular leaders in Eduardo Aparecido, Luciano De Castro and Keyshawn Whitehorse. The latter rider has been lighting the tour on fire lately as he continues to enjoy his best start to a PBR Teams campaign. Sitting at the No. 4 spot in the MVP race, now 5-for-7, he’s got an opportunity to get some revenge against Red Mosquito Friday night, who sent him to the dirt in a heartbreaking 7.41 seconds last season at Rattler Days. Aparecido will also go head-to-head with an old friend he tamed for a cool 88 points during the inaugural 2022 PBR Teams Championship, Fierce’s Dirtnap. If he can make the 8 and team up with Whitehorse, they’ll have a chance, as Crimber is the Freedom’s only sure-fire conversion at this point. This could be one of the closest games of night one.
(2-5) New York Mavericks vs. (4-3) Kansas City Outlaws Koltin Hevalow vs. Martins Maniac Davi Henrique de Lima vs. Smoke Show Brennon Eldred vs. Air Shift Leandro Machado vs. Oreo Bob Mitchell vs. Buckaroo Hudson Bolton vs. Hit or Miss Sandro Batista vs. Kodiac *Braidy Randolph vs. Coco Cassio Dias vs. Midnight Rock *Mauricio Gulla Moreira vs. Bandito Bug REMATCHES Braidy Randolph vs. Coco (2.48 seconds in Duluth Georgia; 6.87 seconds in Duluth, Georgia) Mauricio Gulla Moreira vs. Bandito Bug (2.28 seconds in in New York, New York) TRANSACTIONS The Kansas City Outlaws placed Marcus Mast on the Protected Roster. Mavericks vs. Outlaws Game Preview Each of the weekend’s first three games have the potential to be dramatic. But when the hometown New York Mavericks climb atop the chutes to close things out Friday night, the building will be electric as Brooklyn welcomes the state’s first-ever professional bull riding squad. From there, it’ll be up to Braidy Randolph and friends to deliver. But with Cassio Dias and the Kansas City Outlaws hoping to add a W to their 4-3 record, there won’t be any handouts for the taking.
Especially if Koltin Hevalow comes out swinging, as the youngster is currently sitting No. 5 in the MVP standings courtesy of his 5-for-7 slate. Dias, oddly enough, is a few spots back, currently 4-for-9 while holding things down at No. 9. But after seeing the 2024 World Champion stumble a bit last weekend in Duluth, Georgia, it’s guys like Hevalow and Sandro Batista (who’s 4-for-7, himself, and ranked No. 11) who may need to help the Outlaws take down the Mavericks. As one of two teams who earned first-round byes at the 2023 PBR Teams Championship, we expect Kansas City to continue rounding into form as the season progresses. Beginning Friday night.
Forced to throw a few free agent signees into the early-season lineup as Head Coach Kody Lostroh continuously navigated his banged-up roster, it’s been Leandro Machado (2-for-4) who’s provided some quality secondary support so far. But it’s Braidy Randolph’s recent 2-for-2 showing that has provided a spark for the unit, as Randolph has been the guy the team wants to look to in its direst of moments.
Regularly delivering now that he’s found his groove, Randolph is now getting his third shot aboard Coco in 14 days, as the bovine athlete won the first two matchups two weekends ago back in Duluth, Georgia.
