#InCaseYouMissedIt: Cassio Dias and Man Hater earn 2024 PBR World Championships

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

The 2024 PBR World Finals and Unleash The Beast season are officially in the books, and if it didn’t get your pulse racing, you probably don’t have one. Cassio Dias cowboyed up, Man Hater reminded us what he’s capable of, the real Sage Kimzey finally stood up, and so much more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

At the 2024 PBR World Finals…

RIDE FOR REDEMPTION ROUND 1

Dawson Branton won Round 1 of Ride For Redemption to take the lead in hopes of qualifying for the Championship in AT&T Stadium.

As the Texas Rattlers' invite, Daniel Keeping converted in a high-pressure situation – as he always does.

Bob Mitchell gritted his way to the 8-second in a way that made Kansas City Outlaws head coach J.W. Hart proud.

RIDE FOR REDEMPTION ROUND 2

Keeping went on to go 2-for-2 to win Ride For Redemption, punching his ticket to the Championship alongside…

JaCauy Hale, who followed close friend Cody Jesus into bull riding just six years ago

and Shane Scott, who competed at the PBR World Finals the week he should’ve been at his high school graduation.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS 1 & 2

With the world title race back in the spotlight, No. 2 John Crimber went 1-for-2 on the first night of the Championship to gain ground on No. 1 Cassio Dias, who went 0-for-2 in his return from injury.

Leading the event at the end of night one was Thiago Salgado, with Brady Fielder hot on his heels.

Perhaps the biggest winner of the night was Cort McFadden, who rode Dana White’s Twisted Steel in a bounty bull matchup, earning $50,000 for himself and $50,000 for charity.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS 3 & 4

The final day of the 2024 season belonged to Cassio Dias, who went 2-for-2 to win the 2024 PBR World Championship.

On the bovine side, Man Hater was not to be denied, crowned the 2024 YETI World Champion Bull with one last dominant out.

After a frustrating season cut short by injury, seven-time PRCA bull riding world champion Sage Steele Kimzey finally broke out, winning the 2024 PBR World Finals event title.

Meanwhile, at Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo…

The Free Riders won the inaugural Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo in a nail-biting championship round against the Misty Mountain Hop.

A team of WCRA underdogs that went undrafted by the other teams, the Free Riders stunned the Western world with their dominance.

Part rodeo, part Kid Rock concert, the inaugural Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo was a resounding success.

At the WCRA’s Women’s Rodeo World Championship…

Martha Angelone won her second consecutive Women’s Rodeo World Championship all-around title in Cowtown Coliseum.

Twenty-one athletes advanced to the Championship Round inside AT&T Stadium

where Kindyl Scruggs, Amy Ohrt, and Kenna Francis/Whitney DeSalvo were crowned champions.
