If you were wondering if Cassio Dias was serious about being a contender this season… well, stop wondering. The rookie phenom kept the pedal to the metal this weekend in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, while Cody Jesus returned to the draw in a big way, and Austin Richardson made some noise. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
It’s been an absolutely huge season for Cassio Dias, and we’re only three events in. But of those three events, Dias has won the last two, going 3-for-4 in Johnstown to secure the second and retain the world No. 1 ranking.
Cody Jesus has only competed in two of the three events, taking some time off after Tucson to rest…
…but that time off paid big dividends, as he won Round 1 in Johnstown and ultimately finished second overall.
It was also a big weekend for Austin Richardson, as he won Round 2 in Johnstown and went on to place third in the event.
