The PBR Camping World Team Series is back, baby! Season two kicked off in Cheyenne, Wyoming, last week, and the Austin Gamblers wasted no time reminding everyone they’re here to play. Plus, the Carolina Cowboys made sure not to get overlooked, the Texas Rattlers put out the strongest single-game performance of any team, and more. Miss a moment of the action? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the PBR Team Series…
CHEYENNE, DAY 1
The Cowboys, Freedom and Gamblers were all victorious on night one at the Daddy of ‘Em All.
The Cowboys got rides from World Champions Cooper Davis and Daylon Swearingen to get their season started on the right foot against the Rattlers.
Rookie Elizmar Jeremias notched the only ride for the Freedom in their first game of the season, but it was enough to best the Ridge Riders.
The Gamblers prevailed over the Outlaws thanks to rides from Dalton Kasel…
…and Jose Vitor Leme, the reigning Teams MVP, who got right back to work to defend his title.
CHEYENNE, DAY 2
While the Rattlers and Cowboys both notched victories on night two in Cheyenne, it was the Gamblers who came out on top to secure the first event win of the season.
The Rattlers were particularly explosive to close out the action in Cheyenne, going 4-for-5 to defeat the defending champion Nashville Stampede.
Meanwhile, on the Challenger Series…
Davi Henrique de Lima of the Arizona Ridge Riders went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the PBR Stockyards Showcase, while four members of the Missouri Thunder finished in the Top 10.
Up north in PBR Canada…
Two-time PBR Canada Champion Cody Coverchuk had a hell of a weekend, first winning the Touring Pro Division event in North Battleford, Saskatchewan…
…before heading to Lacombe, Alberta, and winning there as well.
In Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, it was Coy Robbins getting in the win column with a 2-for-2 performance.
