Behind the Lens: PBR Teams Cheyenne Frontier Days

With the first official event of the 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series season officially in the books, it was the Austin Gamblers who exited Cheyenne Frontier Days with the first event title of the summer. Courtesy of an insanely entertaining 3-for-3 showcase from none other than Jose Vitor Leme, the two-time World Champion triumphed over 2016 World Champion Cooper Davis (Carolina Cowboys) during the league's first-ever Extra Outs tie-breaking format to seal the deal for his green and black squad.

While the Cowboys ultimately came up just short in the overall event standings, Carolina managed to secure the No. 1 overall ranking after racking up the most qualified rides (4: Sage Steel Kimzey (1-for-2, Daylon Swearingen 1-for-2, Cooper Davis 2-for-3) on the weekend among teams to produce 2-0 event records.

Rounding out the Top 4, both the Texas Rattlers and Oklahoma Freedom secured 1-1 records to open the season, but it was the Rattlers who earned the podium finish with six rides to Oklahoma's one.
