Behind the Lens: Unleash The Beast St. Louis 2024

When the second event of the 2024 Unleash The Beast season came to a close in St. Louis, Missouri, it was none other than Cassio Dias who exited the contest with his first-ever premier series event title. One of just two riders who produced flawless 3-for-3 showcases, the talented 22-year-old earned 137 UTB points after besting Buzz in Round 1 (87.5 points) and Hunted Down in Round 2 (86.25 points), the Brazilian rider sealed the deal during the short go, courtesy of his event-high 90.5-point conversion atop Mike’s Motive.

As the only other rider to stay perfect inside Enterprise Center, Alan de Souza finished second during his first UTB performance since January 2020. Pairing his opening round dance aboard Redneck (82 points) with his Round 2 conversion dancing with Blood Moon (80.75 points), he later decided to go head-to-head with UTZ BesTex Legend after selecting him in the Championship Round bull draft. Tying the second-best score of his UTB career, he posted a rank 88.75-point score to stay hot since enjoying some success in Las Vegas.

Rounding out the podium, Eduardo Aparecido placed third. North of 88 points in both of his qualified rides, he combined a Round 1-winning ride dancing with Risky Business (88.25 points) and his short round conversion aboard Preachers Kid (88.75 points) to bring home a quality 82 UTB points.
