Behind the Lens: Unleash The Beast Billings

2016 World Champion Cooper Davis captured his second event title of the 2023 Unleash The Beast campaign, courtesy of his 3-for-4 performance at the PBR Wrangler Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires in Billings, Montana. After starting the weekend ranked No. 7 in the race to be crowned the 2023 PBR World Champion, Davis earned 163.5 UTB points to surge to No. 4 in the premier series standings after besting Taylor’s Cowtown Throwdown (88.75 points), Toasted (87 points) and Savage (87points) throughout the three-day event.

Extending his lead stop the UTB standings with a runner-up finish, No. 1 Kaique Pacheco earned 116 UTB points for a 3-for-4 showcase of his own. Collecting $27,936 for his second-place finish, the 2018 World Champion increased his lead atop the premier series standings to 118.5 points after converting atop Fajita for 86 points in Round 2, besting Whatever for 85.5 points in the third round and later logging the only qualified ride in the championship round with an 86.25-point score aboard Pookie Holler.

In his first UTB event of 2023, Lucas Divino rounded out the Top 3 by finding success early. Teaming up with Barracuda during Friday night’s opening round, he posted an 85.75-point out during his inaugural attempt, only to follow it up by conquering High Country Hitman in Round 2 for 87 points. Collecting 79.5 UTB points for the bronze finish, the Brazilian improved to No. 44 as he looks to make a late push for a World Finals qualification.
