Earning his first 2023 Unleash The Beast event title,Dalton Kasel continued to showcase his elite talent this weekend in Los Angeles, crowned the winner of the PBR SoCal Showdown. Beginning the two-day spectacle with a 90-point ride atopWSM's Time In A Bottle, the now No. 4-ranked rider clinched the win courtesy of an 89.75-point effort aboardKid Knapper, edging outBoudreaux Campbell by 0.5 aggregate points for the honors.

Campbell, who logged the event's best score, a 91.25-point ride atopShameless, in the opening round, eventually followed it up with the only successful championship round ride. The 88-point score matched againstJuly helped earn the Texas native 107 Unleash The Beast points and an accompanying $30,666 as the 24-year-old improved to No. 8 in the standings.Dener Barbosa, courtesy of a 2-for-3 weekend of his own (86.25 points onGangster Time and 85.25 points atopThe Right Stuff) rounded out the Top 3, representing his best premier series finish since Jan. 1, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
