Brady Fielder stole the spotlight in Boston, going a perfect 3-for-3 to win PBR Boston: One if by Dirt, Two if by Sea in front of a sellout crowd at TD Garden, while Marco Rizzo stayed hot with a runner-up finish to remain No. 1 in the 2026 world standings. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
New York native Daylon Swearingen surged to the top of the Round 1 leaderboard with an 87.70-point ride on Hector, and the score held as the night’s best. Swearingen, fresh off a PBR Teams championship with the Carolina Cowboys, soaked in the moment on the Paramount+ broadcast, saying, “I love coming to Boston; love coming to the east coast where I’m from.”
Behind him, Marco Rizzo kept rolling just two weeks after his first career UTB win in Chicago, pairing with Project X for 87.55 points to finish second in Round 1 and pull even with Dalton Kasel atop the PBR World Standings. The two entered Saturday tied at 148 points apiece.
The Top 5 after Round 1 was rounded out by Bob Mitchell (87.20 on Ice Tray), Claudio Montanha Jr. (87.10 on Mr. Jimmy) and John Crimber (86.95 on Wild Card), with Brady Fielder sitting sixth after an 86.8-point ride on Uptown Funk.
From there, Fielder took over the weekend. The Australian doubled down Saturday night with an 87.15-point ride on Cliff Hanger, then slammed the door in the Championship Round with a 2026 tour-high 91.20 points aboard Eyes On Me to finish a perfect 3-for-3 and claim the Boston event buckle.
Rizzo finished second after going 2-for-3, highlighted by an 88.25-point ride on Let Him Fly before being dispatched by Bex Red Eye in the short go. Still, the New York Mavericks standout left Boston atop the 2026 world standings, 27.5 UTB points clear of No. 2 Fielder.
Saturday night also featured a Round 2 highlight reel, with Clay Guiton winning the round after an 88.7-point ride on Mo Money. And the bulls stayed nasty, too, as Magic Potion extended his historic run by besting Mitchell in the Championship Round for his 56th consecutive premier series buck off.
On the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…
The Velocity Tour doubled up with big-time storylines across the country, and both weekends featured late drama.
Ezekiel Mitchell finished second after going 2-for-3, highlighted by 86.10 points on Lift Me Up and 84.30 on Geronimobefore Hell Ya Roscoe ended his weekend in the championship round.
In Bangor, Kase Hitt rallied after an opening-round buckoff to ride three straight and surge past Grayson Cole for his first Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour win. Hitt put up 85.90 on Jillian, 83.50 on Schizzo, then closed with a personal-best 88.30 points aboard Cash Goblin to complete the comeback.
Cole, who posted the event’s high score with 89.80 points on Dinero, led into the Championship Round before Gene’s Best bucked him off and opened the door. Cash Keeling rounded out the Top 3, winning Round 2 with an 87-point ride on Snake Oil, then taking a re-ride to cover All In for 88 in the short round.
Beyond the scores…
Boston marked a milestone moment for the 2026 season, as PBR made its first-ever stop in the city’s history, selling out TD Garden and reinforcing the undeniable early-season surge sweeping the sport. From Manchester to Chicago to Boston, packed arenas and a tightening title race signal that the start of 2026 is loud, unapologetically Western and gaining steam coast to coast.
On the animal-athlete side, keep an eye on Magic Potion — 56 straight premier series buck offs doesn’t happen by accident.
