PBR | Ezekiel Mitchell wins PBR Greenville, soars to No. 2 in PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour standings

GREENVILLE, SC (February 1, 2026) – For Ezekiel Mitchell, the waiting was well worth it.

Mitchell went 3-for-3 to win PBR Greenville on Sunday afternoon at Bon Secours Wellness Arena – after the event’s second round and short go were delayed one day due to record snowfall in the Greenville-Spartanburg area.

“When I stepped into this building today, and I saw y’all (fans) trickling in, I was like, ‘I gotta put a show on for these guys’,” Mitchell said on the dirt in receiving his event buckle. “To still show up for us and let us do what we love, we appreciate our fans so much.”

On Friday, as South Carolina was preparing to dig out from the snow, Mitchell rode Bone Digger for 85.6 points. On Sunday afternoon he conquered Fred Bear for 87.95 points. In the championship round, he stayed in command through a direction change on top of White Command for 86.60 points and the win.

With his first win of the 2026 season, Mitchell earned 153 Global Velocity Points, moving to No. 2 in the 2026 PWVT standings behind Nick Tetz, whom he trails by 77 points.

Jean Fernandes Pereira was the only other cowboy athlete to record three qualified scores (85.3 on Bubba, 86.7 on Still Flying Crazy, and 83.85 on Burning the House Down) to total 255.85 on the scoreboard and take home 100 Velocity Global points.

Macaulie Leather scored 85.8 points on Friday on Clown and 82.3 more on Stardust in Sunday’s long round, but the Australian cowboy was shut out in the championship round for a third-place finish and 64 Global Velocity points.

Dylan Smith wound up in fourth following an 87.05-point score aboard Hot Pop in Round 2. He earned 39 Global Velocity points.

Zane Cook rounded out the top five with his Friday night score of 86.9 points on Blue Silhouette. The big score on Friday helped him take home 45 Global Velocity points.

Heading toward a double-up weekend, the PWVT next has events Feb. 6-7 in Hampton, Virginia for PBR Hampton at Hampton Coliseum as well as in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for the PBR Grand Forks at the Alerus Center.
