Brady Fielder stays perfect in PBR’s Boston debut, claims event buckle in front of sellout crowd at TD Garden

Marco Rizzo earns second-place honors, sits atop 2026 world standings after three events.

By James Youness

BOSTON, Mass. – Rounding out an electric two-day showcase as the PBR’s Unleash The Beast made its premier series debut in Boston, Brady Fielder went the distance to capture the PBR Boston: One if by Dirt, Two if by Sea event title in front of another sold-out crowd at TD Garden.

With an announced 12,937 on hand, the Australian became the only man to produce a perfect 3-for-3 slate on the weekend via a 2026 tour-high 91.20 points aboard Eyes On Me, the bull he selected with the third pick in the short round draft.

Originally positioning himself for a run to the event title as one of 22 riders to convert Friday night inside the home of the NHL’s Boston Bruins and NBA’s Boston Celtics, Fielder recorded an 86.8-point ride score in Round 1 aboard Uptown Funk.

Returning to work Saturday night, he doubled down in convincing fashion, briefly taking over the top spot on the event leaderboard thanks to a sound 87.15-pointer on Cliff Hanger. And despite youngster Marco Rizzo eventually surpassing him as the second round came to a close, it was the Australian who excited TD Garden with his first win of the year.

“This atmosphere just pumps us up,” Fielder said of the raucous capacity crowd on the Paramount+ telecast following the win. “Now we head toward New York City. I’m going to take it step by step, take care of what’s in front of me.”

Rizzo, who captured his career-first win the last time Unleash The Beast was in action in Chicago, was forced to settle for a second-place effort after bucking off his championship round bull. However, the 20-year-old still sits atop the overall tour standings, now 27.5 UTB points in front of No. 2 Fielder.

The New York Mavericks stud parlayed his opening-round dance with Project X (87.55 points) during Saturday’s second round in the form of an 88.25-point journey atop Let Him Fly, thus earning the first pick in the short go. Eventually dispatched by Bex Red Eye in a brief 2.26 seconds, he remained the top-scoring contender among riders to go 2-for-3.

The pack wasted no time getting the show started Saturday night, as the event leaderboard saw four different lead changes throughout the opening two sections, with Keyshawn Whitehorse, Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, Clay Guiton and Claudio Montanha Jr. becoming the first four riders to double down in consecutive fashion.

But as the night progressed, it was Guiton who was crowned the Round 2 winner courtesy of an epic 88.7-point ride atop Mo Money.

As one of 10 men who brought a pair of conversions to the short round, Guiton nearly made it a 3-for-3 weekend but was called for a slap at the 6.7-second mark. He had to settle for a fifth-place finish.

Rounding out top-five efforts on the weekend were John Crimber (third) and Montanha Jr. (fourth), who produced matching 2-for-3 efforts.

Dalton Kasel, who came in as the World leader, fell to the No. 3 rank and went 0-for-2 on the weekend.

Standout bovine Magic Potion showcased another noteworthy out, besting Bob Mitchell in the championship round. He now owns 56 consecutive premier series buck offs, continuing to extend the all-time PBR record.

Scoring an event-high 44.70-point bull score during his 8 seconds of greatness paired with Fielder, Eyes On Me was crowned the Bull of the Event.

PBR’s premier series next rolls into New York, New York, Jan. 9–11 for the PBR Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden presented by Ariat, set to begin at 7:45 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday before concluding on Championship Sunday via a 1:45 p.m. ET start.
