LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Brazilian native Lauro Nunes Vieira became the fourth rider to win the Challenger Series Championship event at South Point Arena, using two rides to clinch the buckle with 167.50 points and a spot in the first four events in the premier PBR Unleash The Beast tour.
Vieira took home 84.75 points Wednesday night aboard Uncle Pete to earn fourth in the round. Heading into night two, he clashed against Pretty Boy, lasting the full eight, and tacking on 82.75 additional points to become the event champion.
Lucas Divino finished runner-up at the event as one of two riders to successfully ride two bulls through three rounds. He bested Black Fury Wednesday night for 76.75 points before then taking on Shy Pete for 81.25 more points. Marcelo Procopio Pereira earned the highest score of the event during night two of action with 88.25 points in a thrilling matchup against Risen 222.
Despite not competing in the season-ending finals, Gustavo Luiz da Silva was crowned the 2025 Challenger Series Champion, the fourth unique series champion in as many years since the formation of the Challenger Series. The 19-year-old clinched the championship title with a whopping 895 points, 126.83 over runner-up Jake Gardner. Silva is set to compete in the 2025 PBR Camping World Teams Championship for the Nashville Stampede starting Friday night.

Joining Gustavo Luiz da Silva with invites to the first four Unleash The Beast events are Gardner (768.17), Brady Fielder (737.33), Jared Parsonage (725) and Dakota Buttar (696.67). The five invitations will be finalized after the conclusion of the Teams Championship.

The 2025 season featured more than 50 events in the U.S. (100-plus worldwide), spanning 17 states and international territories. The series paid out more than $1.1 million to riders this season.
