GLENDALE, Ariz. – To open the first night of action at the final regular season event of the 2025 PBR Teams season, the No. 1 Florida Freedom (24-9) clinched a first-round bye for the Teams Championships in Las Vegas with a 339-171.5 victory over the 14-19 Missouri Thunder.

Paulo Eduardo Rossetto opened the game hot for the Thunder riding Rafiki for 85.75 points. In the next out, Maverick Smith doubled down with 85.75 points of his own aboard Bookers Bandit. The top-ranked Freedom struck with back-to-back rides of their own by Yan Victor Cunha (85.75 on Easy Labor) and Thiago Salgado (88.25 on Mo Money) for a 174-171.5 advantage. Florida pressed the pedal to the metal, finishing with a pair of rides by Alex Cerqueira (76.5 points on Smokin’ Joe) and John Crimber (88.5 points on Blackstone).

Salgado’s 24th ride of the season kept him atop the MVP Race, while Crimber moved into second.

In the second game of the evening at Desert Diamond Arena, the New York Mavericks (8-25) showed how dangerous they can be, upsetting the Nashville Stampede (13-20) while earning their first perfect game in team history and 10th in league history, scoring the fourth most points in a 5-for-5 effort.

Leonardo Castro led off for New York by besting Malibu’s Top Dawg for 84.75 points, ahead of Julio Cesar Marqueslasting the 8 on Nervous Hospital for 86 points. Marco Rizzo took full advantage of his opportunity on a re-ride bull for 87.75 on Lever Action. João Henrique Lucas added 87.5 points on Twisted Sister to seal the game. Hudson Bolton put the icing on the cake, giving New York the perfect game with 86 points against In My Blood.

Despite an early and lingering advantage by the No. 8 Kansas City Outlaws (11-22), the No. 2 Austin Gamblers pulled off a much-needed 258.75-174 victory to improve to 22-11, two games behind the league-leading Freedom.

Kansas City took an early lead with eight on Lift Me Up by Koltin Hevalow for 86.75 points. Austin struck back in the second with 84.25-points from Dener Barbosa on Stone Cold. The Gamblers put the game out of reach in the final frames as Dalton Kasel went eight on Blue Nerve for a game-high 89.25 points before Callum Miller tacked on 85.25 more on Peanut on a re-ride attempt. Eric Henrique Domingos put up another ride for the Outlaws to close out the game with 87.25 on Wild Country.

The No. 5 Carolina Cowboys improved to 18-15 while knocking down the No. 4 Texas Rattlers to 21-12 with a 172.5-87.5 victory. With the loss, the Rattlers are officially knocked out of contention for the regular season championship while still battling for a first-round bye in Vegas.

Texas took the lead in the second frame with an 87.5-point ride by Daniel Keeping aboard Project X which ultimately came up short. Carolina’s Clay Guiton bested Puckered Up for 85.75 points before Derek Kolbaba sealed the win with 86.75 points on Feeds Red River, improving to a perfect 6-for-6 atop the bovine.

The No. 3 Arizona Ridge Riders defeated the No. 9 Oklahoma Wildcatters 261.5 - 171 to rise to 22-11 on the season and stay in the hunt for a first-round bye in Las Vegas as the Wildcatters fell to 11-22.

As the Wildcatters looked to pull themselves out of the play-in game in Las Vegas, the team pulled off two opening back-to-back rides by Tate Pollmeier on Gaucho for 86.5 points and Eduardo Matos aboard Nine Lives for 84.5 points. Arizona’s first ride of the evening was earned by Everton Natan da Silva aboard Neferious for 88.25 points.
