Key Storylines...

The Carolina Cowboys (8-12) return home sitting sixth in the standings and chasing momentum. With Jess Lockwood back in form, the Carolina kid Clay Guiton riding strong, and hopes that Cooper Davis can snap his slump, the Cowboys are hungry to give their fans a signature weekend.

The Florida Freedom (15-5), Austin Gamblers (15-5) and Arizona Ridge Riders (15-5) remain tied atop the standings after Anaheim, with Florida holding the No. 1 spot on points. Sparks flew in California when Florida blanked Austin 5-0, and a new rivalry may be brewing between the two powerhouses. But coach Paulo Crimber is keeping the noise out of the locker room, focused on pushing the Freedom toward separation at the top behind MVP contenders Thiago Salgado and John Crimber.

Arizona is also gunning for history. After hitting 11 straight rides in Anaheim to tie the league record for most in an event weekend, the Ridge Riders now look to push the streak to 12 in Greensboro.

The Texas Rattlers (13-7) remain red-hot behind Brady Fielder, whose comeback from injury has proved greater than the setback, vaulting him back into the MVP race. After sitting out an entire two-day event weekend early in the season, Fielder had ground to make up — but he’s been clawing his way back ever since, closing in fast on the Florida fellows holding the top spots.

The Missouri Thunder (9-11) are looking to spoil Carolina’s homecoming, but it’s been a tough stretch after losing Jett Harkins to a gruesome leg injury in Anaheim. The Nashville Stampede (6-14) arrive with rookie sensation Gustavo Luiz da Silva shining in the closer role, hungry to help turn their season around.

Elsewhere, the Kansas City Outlaws (8-12) and Oklahoma Wildcatters (7-13) clash Friday, both desperate to keep pace in the playoff hunt.

Beyond the riders, Greensboro also welcomes some heavy hitters in the bull pen. The legendary Preacher’s Kid continues his retirement tour, while Magic Potion storms in as the undisputed buckoff king. First it was Bushwacker’s 42 straight, a mark that stood for more than a decade. Then Cool Whip raised the bar to 48. Now Magic Potion has blown past them all, stretching his streak to 54 — and still nobody has made the whistle since his Unleash The Beast debut in 2021. He’s only appeared in Nashville and Springfield this Teams season, holding a spotless 100% buckoff rate. When Florida got its draw, Alex Cerqueira went straight to coach Paulo Crimber and asked for the rank bull himself. Will Greensboro be the place where the streak finally ends, or will Magic Potion keep his crown? Stay tuned.
