By Taylor Riemersma

GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the league’s top spot on the line, the Florida Freedom defeated the Arizona Ridge Riders 261-170.5 for their sixth win in a row at Cowboy Days presented by Mountain Claw to remain atop the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series Standings. Florida improved to 17-5 on the season, a full game ahead of the Ridge Riders who fell to 16-6.

Thiago Salgado, the MVP race leader by a ride, rode Karla’s Pure Country for 87.25 points with his 17th conversion of the season. In the third out for Florida, João Lucas Campos rode Pneu-Dart’s Chief Wahoo for 86.5 points to clinch the game. John Crimber closed out in style, scoring 87.25 on Hoka Hey as the Freedom outrode the Ridge Riders 3-2.

Snapping their 10-game losing streak, the longest in league history, the New York Mavericks upset the Kansas City Outlaws 173.5-170.25 to rise to 4-18 with Kansas City dropping to 8-14. New York opened the game hot with rides by Mauricio Gulla Moreira (88 on Bomb Diggity) and Leonardo Castro (85.5 on Raider) for an early two-ride lead over Kansas City. Koltin Hevalow cut into the lead with 84 points on Peterbilt on a re-ride attempt to keep the Outlaws within reach. A late ride by Heitor Santos Ferreira for 86.25 points on Soul Man wasn’t enough as the Mavericks took home the win to build some momentum ahead of next weekend’s homestand.

The Missouri Thunder (10-12) defeated the Oklahoma Wildcatters (8-14) 172.5-85 in the second day of the weekend’s event. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto remained on fire, riding his sixth bull in his last seven outs against Malibu’s Top Dawg for 85.5 points. Josh Frost responded with 85 points against Red Velvet, bringing the game back within a half-point. Missouri and Oklahoma continued bouncing back and forth on the scoreboard when Andrew Alvidrez rode Black Velvet for 87 points to extend the Thunder lead, ultimately paving the way to victory.

After both teams came out of the gate 2-for-2, the Austin Gamblers (16-6) were able to pull away for a win in the Land.com Texas Cup against the Texas Rattlers (14-8) Saturday night. Sage Steele Kimzey rode the first bull for the Gamblers, racking up 86 points on DirtyBru with Dener Barbosa adding on 84.5 more against Gunsmoke for the lead. Dalton Kasel sealed the victory for Austin, lasting eight on Lansky for 85.25 points. With the game decision in the books, Jose Vitor Leme put an exclamation point on Austin’s 16th win of the season, taming Zapata for eight seconds and 86.25 points.

In the second night of their homestand, the Carolina Cowboys (10-12) remained unblemished with a 2-0 record after defeating the Nashville Stampede (6-16) 86.75-84.75. Nashville’s Alan de Souza gave the team an early advantage, tallying 84.75 points on Chili Mango that stood until the second frame when Carolina took the lead with 86.75 points by Derek Kolbaba aboard Strapper, a ride that ultimately brought the Cowboys their tenth win of the season.

The final day of Cowboys Days will begin at 12:15 p.m. ET and will be carried on the CW Network.
