Florida Freedom add to PBR Teams record-holding run via 22nd victory of 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series campaign

Austin Gamblers stay hot, secure 177.25-0 win over hometown Texas Rattlers, breaking Texas’ 10-game winning streak on home soil.

By James Youness

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Florida Freedom (22-6) extended its PBR Camping World Team Series record-setting win total to 22, beating the Carolina Cowboys (14-14) 342.25-250.75.

Improving to 22-6 on the season, Florida again went 4-for-5 during the second night of competition inside Dickies Arena, receiving contributions from MVP frontrunner Thiago Salgado (85.25), Alex Cerqueira (85.5), John Crimber (86.5) and Joao Lucas Campos (87.5).

Carolina dropped to 14-14 on the year despite Cooper Davis (81.25), Clay Guiton (82.5) and Jess Lockwood (87) each making the requisite 8.

Riquelme Santos recorded an 86-pointer in re-ride fashion to put the finishing touches on the Arizona Ridge Riders’ 257.5-168.75 win against the Nashville Stampede.

Keyshawn Whitehorse delivered in the bottom of the fifth after Santos had already sealed the deal for Arizona (18-10), snapping their four-game losing streak. Nashville’s Daniel Feitosa recorded a night-two-high 90.5 points during his matchup against American Made. The Stampede are now 9-19.

After spending the summer away from PBR competition, Chase Dougherty stepped in and stepped up for the Missouri Thunder. His game-high 88.5 points during the Thunder’s second out and his first of the 2025 Teams season held up and Missouri (12-16) edged the New York Mavericks 88.5–86.5. The Mavericks dropped to 6-22.

The Kansas City Outlaws breathed some life into their postseason push courtesy of a tight 86.5-82.75 victory against the Oklahoma Wildcatters. JaCauy Hale drew first blood via an 82.75-pointer early, but it was Natanael Serra Aires’ late-game conversion which made the ultimate difference in the two-ride contest. Both teams now have identical 10-18 records, but by virtue of tie breaker points, the No. 7 Outlaws are above the Wildcatters in the cutline for the 3-way play-in game in Las Vegas to start the 2025 playoffs.

The host Texas Rattlers (18-10) weren’t able to knock off in-state rival Austin Gamblers inside Dickies Arena, falling 177.25-0 Saturday night. Sage Steele Kimzey (88.75) and Kaique Pacheco (88.5) teamed up for Austin’s 20th win of the season against eight losses. For the first time in four years, the Rattlers, who had won a league-record 10 straight games on home turf, lost in Fort Worth.

The final slate of Rattler Days competition begins at 1:45 p.m. CT at Dickies Arena Sunday, Sept. 28.
