SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Austin Gamblers and Arizona Ridge Riders each won their games in decisive fashion on the second night of action at Thunder Days inside Great Southern Bank Arena, improving to 12-4 on the season to share the league’s best record.
The Florida Freedom saw their five-game win streak snapped, dropping them into second place at the midway point of the PBR Camping World Team Series season, while the surging Oklahoma Wildcatters picked up their fifth win in the last six games.
The red-hot Gamblers defeated the Nashville Stampede 345.75–168.5 for their 10th win in the last 11 games, behind four standout rides from Jose Vitor Leme (88 points), Sage Steele Kimzey (87), Callum Miller (86) and Dalton Kasel (84.75). Leme, a two-time league MVP, is now 6-for-9 this season. Austin improved to 12-4 and retained the No. 1 spot in the standings via tiebreaker points, while Nashville dropped to 6-10.
The Ridge Riders also moved to 12-4, shutting out the Carolina Cowboys 258-0. Everton Natan da Silva got the team on the board with an 87.75-point ride, Murilo Henrique de Oliveira followed with 84.75, and Luciano De Castro secured the victory with 85.5. Carolina dropped to 6-10.
The Texas Rattlers edged the New York Mavericks 87.75–87.5 in a low-scoring defensive battle. Daniel Keeping delivered for Texas in the second frame with an 87.75-point ride. Though Mauricio Gulla Moreira responded for New York with 87.5, it wasn’t enough as Texas improved to 9-7 and New York fell to 3-13.
The Kansas City Outlaws evened their record at 8-8, knocking off the Freedom 87.25–85.75. João Lucas Campos struck early for Florida with an 85.75-point ride, but Julio Cesar Marques answered back on Ceasar for 87.25 to put Kansas City in front for good. With buckoffs and rerides dominating the rest of the match, those were the only scores recorded.
The Wildcatters claimed their second straight win at Thunder Days, edging the Missouri Thunder 172–170.25. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto and Boudreaux Campbell delivered scores for Missouri, but it wasn’t enough. Josh Frost lasted the full 8 seconds on Lever Action for 87.25, and Cort McFadden closed it out on Fire Kat for 84.75 to lift Oklahoma to 6-10.
The bulls brought the heat on Saturday night, going 33-for-17 in outs.
