Starting lineups, draw revealed for 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Ride For Redemption Day 1

Final five spots to compete inside AT&T Stadium up for grabs inside Cowtown Coliseum May 14-15.

By James Youness

FORT WORTH, Texas – With last weekend’s 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Eliminations sessions deciding the first 20 of 25 riders set to duke it out inside AT&T Stadium May 17-18 during the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Championship finale …

… just FIVE spots remain up for grabs as the circuit returns to Cowtown Coliseum to kick off the two-day, four-round Ride For Redemption showcase May 14.

When you consider just FIVE of the men competing in Rounds 1 and 2 Wednesday will advance to Thursday’s third and fourth perfs, set to join the remainder of the premier series pack which didn’t qualify for Jerry World during the Eliminations rounds, suddenly the pressure is on right off the bat for the 22 cowboys set to give it a go tonight.

Which means guys are going to have to either ride two bulls or throw down one rank ass solo score between their two opportunities if they want to hear their name called in Thursday’s draw.

With the mix of athletes competing stemming from various Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, Touring Pro Division, PBR Stockyards Showcase, PBR Camping World Team Series, international invites and beyond, fans should recognize a healthy portion of these guys while getting a chance to check out some up and coming talent.

A majority of the 22 are currently or will soon be inked to one of the ten 5-on-5 series squads, who are set to expand their respective rosters one way or another during next week’s 2025 PBR Teams New Rider Draft in Austin, Texas, so fans can expect some quality conversions throughout.

We’re talking about talents like 2023 PBR Teams Champion Braidy Randolph, who’s set to represent his hometown Texas Rattlers inside Cowtown Coliseum during a rematch effort against Wild Card in the opening out of the evening. With the animal athlete bringing a 2-0 advantage into the approaching showdown, will he continue the bovine dominance fans witnessed during Eliminations and get the pen off to a hot start?

After finishing the regular season ranked No. 42 in the Unleash The Beast standings, Ezekiel Mitchell was barely on the outside looking in during a season where each of the tour’s Top 40 talents were healthy enough to give it a go.

So, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him knock either of his matchups against Lap Dancer or Badlands, as he’s one of the toughest and swaggiest riders when he’s feeling himself. Knowing he’s had some success in the legendary venue, if not his home state in general, in the past makes us believe he could shine again.

Fresh off winning the bull riding event portion of last weekend’s Rodeo Corpus Christi, a skilled Brazilian in Joao Henrique Lucas will get pair of auditions in looking to put his name back in the hat for the fourth season of camaraderie-driven action after participating in the first three seasons with the Nashville Stampede and most recently the Florida Freedom

After producing a No. 14 finish in the UTB standings while competing at the 2024 PBR World Finals, Caden Bunch hasn’t enjoyed quite as successful of a go in 2025 but finds himself with a possible path to return to Jerry World during the last-chance showcase. Primed to dance with Prince Charming in Round 1 before going head-to-head against Magic Touch in his second showdown.

Speaking of riders coming down from 2024 highs, New York Mavericks’ youngster Marco Rizzo is back inside Cowtown Coliseum after competing in last year’s Eliminations sessions. Bringing quite the spark of energy to the tour when he arrived out of nowhere one campaign prior, he’s got just as good shot as any to excel Wednesday night.

Becoming the first actual riders to get a shot at “redemption” after combining for an 0-for-12 slate during Eliminations, Kansas City Outlaws veteran Marcus Mast, 2022 PBR Rookie of the Year Bob Mitchell and PBR Canada standout Ashton Sahli get another shot at it. Whether they’re warmed up or a bit banged up after facing four bulls each the weekend prior remains to be seen.

Lineups and draw are in for the opening rounds of the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Ride For Redemption showcase, so we’re taking a closer look at Wednesday night’s matchups, rematches and everything you need to know ahead of Day 1’s “ride or go home” slate!
