FORT WORTH, Texas – When the dust settled on the first phase of the 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Finals: Unleash The Beast on Sunday afternoon inside Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) solidified his world No. 1 rank, delivering a monster 90-point ride in Round 4 – one of four 90-point rides on the day –  to finish Eliminations sixth and grow his lead to 238 points over No. 2 Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia). All four days of Eliminations welcomed sold-out crowds as the race to earn this season’s World Championship ratcheted up.

While Kasel went 2-for-4 during the opening phase of the 2025 PBR World Finals, two-time World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) made a huge statement, going 4-for-4 to win Eliminations and vault from No. 18 to No. 6 in the world.

Kasel, who rides for the Austin Gamblers in the separate PBR Teams league, stumbled on the opening two nights of competition, bucked off by Good Riddance (Sterk Bucking Bulls) in 2.96 seconds in Round 1 and Top Dollar (Hookin’ W Ranch/DeHoff/Beach) in 6.16 seconds in Round 2.

The reserved Texan, however, reversed his fortunes in Round 3, besting The Kraken (Blake Sharp/UB Bucking Company) for 88.75 points. His momentum continued in Round 4 when he capitalized on a re-ride, dominating Hoobastank (Blake Sharp/Hanks) for a monstrous 91 points.

Finishing sixth at Eliminations, Kasel earned a crucial 125 Unleash The Beast points. While he began Eliminations with a 126-point lead over No. 2 Fielder, he now leads the Texas Rattler by 238 points.

Courtesy of his No. 1 rank, Kasel earned the first direct berth to the 2025 PBR World Finals – Championship on May 17-18 at AT&T Stadium in nearby Arlington, Texas. The two-day event will be the final stage of the World Finals, determining the 2025 PBR World Champion.

Fielder went 1-for-4 at Eliminations, finishing twentieth and earning just 13 Unleash The Beast points.

Fielder’s lone score came in Round 3 when he topped Bueno (Blake Sharp/Huff Bulls) for 86 points. Fielder, who missed two qualified rides by less than a second combined, advanced to the Championship alongside Kasel via his rank inside the world’s Top 15.

Eliminations was dominated by Leme and surging young gun Clay Guiton (Cherryville, North Carolina), who both went a flawless 4-for-4 to crack the world’s Top 10 and bypass Ride For Redemption, the second phase of PBR World Finals on May 14-15 inside Cowtown Coliseum.

Leme won Eliminations, edging Guiton by a mere 2 points in the aggregate.

The Austin Gamblers standout rode Whiplash (Blake Sharp/CB and Traci Lee/Richardson Land & Cattle) for 85 points in Round 1, Flapjack (Parker/OK Corralis/Gordon/D&H Cattle) for 87.5 points in Round 2, Triple Aught (Addi Drury/Nothin’ But Try/Diggers) for 89.25 points in Round 3 and Pegasus (McCoy Rodeo/Spencer Neil) for a mammoth 91.25 points in Round 4.

Along with a check for $197,000, Leme netted 353 Unleash The Beast points. Attempting to make a come-from-behind surge and become just the third three-time PBR World Champion in history, Leme rose from No. 18 to No. 6 in the standings following the four days of competition. He now trails No. 1 Kasel by 623 points.

Carolina Cowboy Guiton’s 8-second efforts were on Rock ‘n Roll (Raymond & Coy Henry) for 86.75 points in Round 1, Eyes On Me (Blake Sharp/Hanks) for 91.25 points in Round 2, Let’s Roll (Stoltzfus/Bob & Jerry Adams/BS Cattle Co.) for 87.25 points in Round 3 and Sam’s Shot (Mayes/Winston/Hilton Bull Co.) for 85.75 points in Round 4.

Chasing his first World Championship, Guiton collected 288 Unleash The Beast points, climbing from No. 11 to No. 4 in the world during the course of Eliminations. He is now 501 points back of No. 1 Kasel.

No. 1 Kasel, No. 2 Fielder, No. 4 Guiton and No. 6 Leme will be joined by the following 11 riders who also advance to the Championship via their rank inside the Top 15 of the Unleash The Beast standings: No. 3 John Crimber (Decatur, Texas); No. 5 Sage Steele Kimzey (Strong City, Oklahoma); No. 7 Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, Brazil); No. 8 Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil); No. 9 Cort McFadden (Novice, Texas); No. 10 Keyshawn Whitehorse (McCracken Spring, Utah); No. 11 Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas); No. 12 Kaiden Loud (Kaufman, Texas); No. 13 Andrew Alvidrez (Seminole, Texas); No. 14 Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil); and No. 15 Hudson Bolton (Milan, Tennessee).

Five additional riders also advanced to the Championship via their finish at Eliminations, preventing a trip to Ride For Redemption.

Alan de Souza (Taubate, Brazil), Koltin Hevalow (McAlester, Oklahoma), Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, Brazil), Sandro Batista (Pedra Preta, Brazil) and Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington) advanced as the top finishers at Eliminations.

Hevalow led the contingent in finishing eighth at Eliminations, going 2-for-4 to earn 88 Unleash The Beast points and climbing from No. 24 to No. 20 in the standings.

The Kansas City Outlaws rider earned his scores in the opening two rounds, riding What’s Poppin (T&M Services/Hilton Bull Co.) for 87.5 points and Baldy (Blake Sharp/UB Bucking Company/Huff Bulls) for 87 points.

The remaining 25 riders will now turn to Ride For Redemption, May 14-15 at Cowtown Coliseum, to keep their World Finals – Championship hopes alive.

Round 4 of the PBR World Finals – Eliminations also featured the second rank pen, with the bulls in the race for the title of 2025 YETI PBR World Champion Bull each making their second appearance.

Man Hater (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) continued to buck a cut above the rest, delivering the high-marked bull score to date of the World Finals to clinch the title of 2025 YETI PBR World Champion Bull early, earning the accompanying $100,000 bonus.

On Sunday afternoon, Man Hater was marked an unrivaled 46 points as he was covered by Souza for 92.5 points, the highest-marked ride of Eliminations.

Man Hater is now just the eighth animal athlete ever to win the honor in multiple seasons. He joins the elite club that includes two-time PBR World Champion Bulls Dillinger (Herrington Cattle Co.), Bones (Teague Bucking Bulls), Smooth Operator (Dakota Rodeo/Julie Rosen/Clay Struve/Chad Berger) and Ridin’ Solo (Cord McCoy/Bill McCarty/McCoy Rodeo), and three-time PBR World Champion Bulls Little Yellow Jacket (Berger/Teague/Taupin), Bushwacker (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls) and SweetPro’s Bruiser (D&H Cattle Co./Buck Cattle Co.).

Man Hater’s 47.5-point average score is second all time in PBR, trailing only Dillinger (47.75) in 2000.
Elsewhere in the bull pen, Magic Potion (K-C Bucking Bulls/Daniels Cattle Co.) made history of his own, posting his 49th-straight buckoff to surpass Cool Whip (Julian/Staci Addison/D&H/Crooked W) for the longest buckoff streak registered by a bull in PBR history.

Magic Potion set the record by upending Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) in 2.41 seconds during Round 4 of Eliminations.

Earlier in the day, ABBI (American Bucking Bull Inc.) held its $1 Million Futurity competition inside Cowtown Coliseum, showcasing the best 2-year-old bulls in the world, who advanced to the event through a six-month qualifier system that collectively paid out more than $1.5 million to the bovine athletes’ stock contractors.

Swamp Donkey (Ace of Spades/McGuire/Big Schott Rodeo) was crowned Champion, earning a $250,000 bonus, with a score of 92.88 points. Gamblin Man (G&K Cattle/Flint/Dennison) was second with a score of 91.84 points, receiving a check for $125,000. Rounding out the Top 3 in third was Headlight (Owens/Teller), earning $75,000.
