TACOMA TWO-STEP: This weekend, PBR’s elite 2025 Unleash The Beast returns to Tacoma, Washington. The 23rd stop of the 24-event individual season is the fourth consecutive season and 16th time the top tour has visited Tacoma. The Tacoma Dome will host the PBR for two days of action on Saturday, April 26, at 6:45 p.m. PT and Sunday, April 27, at 1:45 p.m. PT.
KASEL WINS FIFTH EVENT OF 2025, LEADS FIELDER BY 187 POINTS: No. 1 Dalton Kasel continued to roll in Nampa, Idaho, last weekend, winning his tour-best fifth event of the season. The Texan covered Whip for 87 points in Round 1 before riding Peanut for an event-high-tying 89.25 points to win Round 2. In the championship round, Kasel sat tall atop Manaba for 88.5 points to not only win his 14th round of the season but also increase his lead over No. 2 Brady Fielder to 187 points heading into the final event of the regular season. Kasel faces off with Devine Dan in Round 1 on Saturday.
Also of note was the performance of two-time PBR World Champion and No. 19 Jose Vitor Leme, who went 3-for-3 and finished second. The Brazilian rode Buckaroo for 87 points in Round 1 and Rank Hank for 88.25 points in Round 2. Taking advantage of a re-ride opportunity in the championship round, Leme roared out of the chutes on Lights Out in the final out of the event for 88.25 points to take the second spot on the podium. Leme’s flawless weekend propelled him from No. 27 to No. 19 in the Unleash The Beast standings, 848.5 points behind No. 1 Kasel. Leme takes on Whiskey Business in the opening round this weekend.
