FORT WORTH, Texas – Somehow we’re 22 events into Unleash The Beast’s 23-event regular season.
Which means this weekend’s PBR Tacoma serves as the final opportunities for riders to better their respective ranks ahead of next month’s 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast.
And while there are 150 or so points up for grabs for any one rider within the Northwest region, we have a good idea at what this year’s buckle-contending class looks like.

Just ask No. 1 Dalton Kasel, who’s been resting up throughout the long week after claiming his tour-leading fourteenth round win and fifth showcase victory last weekend in Nampa, Idaho.
Practically unstoppable lately, it’s hard not consider the 26-year-old as this year’s favorite to claim the 2025 PBR World Championship at this point.
Bringing a 187-point lead over No. 2 Brady Fielder into the Week 23 showcase, he’s pretty much locked into that top spot when the tour prepares to invade Cowtown Coliseum for the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Eliminations May 8-11.
One single qualified ride this weekend keeps him out of Fielder’s reach, even if the Australian were to sweep honors inside Tacoma Dome.
2025 PBR Unleash The Beast Standings:
1. Dalton Kasel (1240 points)
2. Brady Fielder (1053 points)
3. John Crimber (759.5 points)
4. Sage Steele Kimzey (754.75 points)
5. Luciano De Castro (691.83 points)
6. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (690.25 points)
7. Andrew Alvidrez (587.75 points)
8. Kaique Pacheco (565 points)
9. Cort McFadden (563.08 points)
10. Clay Guiton (532.5 points)
Despite missing last weekend’s Progressive PBR Nampa, the man who was sitting in the No. 2 spot when last year’s season-culminating showdown dawned in John Crimber finds himself occupying the No. 3 rank this time around. Very much still in striking distance alongside No. 4 Sage Steele Kimzey, who trails Crimber by a mere 4.75 UTB points, the duo who nearly stole the show last time the tour stepped foot inside Jerry World have their racing blinders on, so the spiciness is just getting started.
The battle for the buckle is on, no doubt.

But another battle continues to lurk in the distance – One centered around the No. 40 spot, as the world’s Top-40 ranked riders will continue their respective campaigns during the end-all, be-all 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast.
Meaning cowboys ranked anywhere from No. 35 and beyond understand how close they are to the postseason cutline. And how hungry guys sitting just outside said zone are to make their way into the fold.
We’re talking about talents like No. 42 Alex Cerqueira, No. 43 Ezekiel Mitchell, No. 45 Mauricio Moreira, No. 47 Callum Miller and company, who would need some sort of Top 10 placement to secure their respective World Finals berths.
Which won’t be an easy task, especially with a trio of Top 30-ranked cowboys in Kaiden Loud, Elizmar Jeremias and Daylon Swearingen returning to the chutes following some time on Injured Reserve.
Preparing to suit up for the first time in five weeks and the first time since being acquired from the Carolina Cowboys by the Texas Rattlers, No. 38 Dawson Branton has a chance to return to Fort Worth, Texas, for next month’s World Finals should he ride a bull or two in Tacoma.
Paulo Eduardo Rossetto and Ethan Winckler represent the new additions to the tour’s banged-up list, joining Sandro Batista and 2025 PBR Rookie of the Year frontrunner Anderson de Oliveira in doctoring out of the regular season finale.
And wouldn’t you know it, the circuit is going out with a BANG, as the Florida Freedom and New York Mavericks prepare to close out the inaugural session of Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, theatrics just 48 hours after seeing “The World” defeat “Team Missouri” during PBR Knockout Kansas City, presented by $VET.

Storylines may be a plenty.
But with a maximum of three outs separating riders from the postseason, the only headlines that matter will be determined Sunday afternoon. As we find out which 40 riders will continue their campaigns down south!
