Starting lineups, draw revealed for PBR Sioux Falls

Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, welcomes Carolina Cowboys, Nashville Stampede to spotlight April 4.

By James Youness

FORT WORTH, Texas – The number is four.

A mere four regular season showcases separate the premier series pack from the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast as Fort Worth, Texas, prepares to play home to the first two stages of season-culminating competition.

But before we shift gears to the epic postseason stint down south, the tour’s top talents have a few affairs to sort through, as this weekend’s PREMIER Bankcard PBR Sioux Falls presented by Cooper Tires showcases invades Sioux Falls, South Dakota for three late-season sessions of head-to-head antics.

Which means the world’s best bull riders are itching to climb the Unleash The Beast standings once more. Knowing roughly 600-some UTB points remain available to any one rider this season, which would require a Dalton Kasel-like sweep to conclude the campaign, the field is a bit more open than it was this time of the year in 2024.

Of course, with Cassio Dias shelved for a majority of the season due to an injury, the pack has done a good job taking turns with the event-topping honors.

Which brings us to a guy like Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, who captured his career-first premier series win last weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As the top-performing man to go 3-for-4 inside The Pit, the Brazilian moved himself up to the No. 6 spot ahead of the looming Week 20 showcase, where he’ll look to further his odds of escaping next month’s Ride For Redemption segment, as the Top 15-ranked cowboys as of May 12 will be directly qualified to the Championship stage inside AT&T Stadium May 17-18.

Becoming the thirteenth different rider to assume the winner’s circle this season, it’s truly become quite the roll of the dice when it comes to event champions. Which has made the circuit THAT much more entertaining this time around.

2025 PBR Unleash The Beast Standings:
1. Dalton Kasel (947 points)
2. Brady Fielder (914.5 points)
3. Sage Steele Kimzey (709.25 points)
4. John Crimber (654.5 points)
5. Andrew Alvidrez (570.75 points)
6. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (567.75 points)
7. Luciano De Castro (515.83 points)
8. Cort McFadden (495.08 points)
9. Keyshawn Whitehorse (485 points)
10. Kaique Pacheco (463.5 points)

But it’s Rossetto’s fellow countryman in Jose Vitor Leme who has garnered the most attention ahead of this weekend’s slate, as the two-time World Champion is set to compete for the first time in more than two months.

Having amassed an early-season event victory in Ontario, California, the Austin Gamblers standout has every chance in the world to run the table as he looks to punch his ticket to next month’s 2025 PBR World Finals.

Slated to dance with Washita Red for the first time, can the two-time PBR Teams MVP return in epic fashion?
While his PBR Camping World Team Series teammate in No. 10 Kaique Pacheco is anticipated to miss this weekend’s showcase due to an injury sustained in Albuquerque, the pack will welcome back a different Top 10 competitor in the form of No. 5 Andrew Alvidrez.

Sporting a pair of matching runner-up finishes in two of his last four appearances, including second-place efforts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Palm Desert, California, can the Missouri Thunder man make the most of his time off during a Round 1 dance with Magic Touch?

New York Mavericks rookie Hudson Bolton did exactly that last weekend after missing more than two months thanks to his own bumps and bruises. But that’s in the past as the skilled 19-year-old attempts to chase down 39-year-old Anderson de Oliveira for a shot at the 2025 PBR Rookie of the Year honors.

Bolton will get a chance to close the 265.83-point gap aboard Mesquite, while Oliveira is primed to kick off this weekend’s Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, atop Money Moves

While the Cowboys just landed a young stud in Clay Guiton, having acquired the North Carolina native from the Oklahoma Wildcatters Friday morning via trade, the red-headed talent won’t be featured within the 6 vs. 6 game, rather competing as an individual earlier in the night. We’d be shocked if we didn’t see him atop the chutes cheering on his new teammates, though!

With the Carolina Cowboys and Nashville Stampede set to duke it out in color-coordinated fashion, will the 2022 Champions from Nashville be able to complete the clean 3-0 sweep of the 2024 regular season Champs?

With such a tightly-contested world title sprint on our hands, quite literally any of the 40-some riders in play have a chance to not only make some noise, put potentially push for an automatic qualification to Arlington, Texas and the fun that awaits inside Jerry World.

Lineups and draw are in for the twentieth of 23 regular season Unleash The Beast showdowns, so we’re taking a closer look at Friday night’s matchups, rematches and everything you need to know ahead of the weekend’s opening slate!
