FORT WORTH, Texas – At the 99th iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Jean Fernandes Pereira (Crixas, Brazil) rode supreme to take home the event title. 

The Brazilian won the opening round by covering Baller (Mike Johnson) for an event-high 86 points. 
Despite bucking off Smokey (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) in 3.42 seconds in Round 2, Pereira had already done enough to win the event. 

The victory secured Pereira 46 Velocity Global points. 

Second place belonged to Jean Carlos de Souza (Mirante Do Paranapanema, Brazil). 

After bucking off Hammer Down (Mike Johnson) in 5.38 seconds in Round 1, Souza rebounded to ride Cactus Cocktail (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) for a round-winning 85 points in Round 2. 

The silver finish earned Souza 36 Velocity Global points. 


In third place was Marcelo Procopio Pereira (Rinopolis, Brazil). 

Pereira rode Herman (Mike Johnson) for 82.5 points in Round 1 before bucking off Good Gangster (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) in 6.49 seconds in Round 2. 

The veteran left Cowtown Coliseum with 23 Velocity Global points. 

Lucas Martins Costa (Frutas, Brazil) finished in fourth place. 

In Round 1, Leroy (Mike Johnson) proved too much for Costa, bucking him off after 6.73 seconds. 

Costa then rallied back in Round 2, riding Big Al (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) for 81 points. 

Costa netted 20 Velocity Global points for his efforts Thursday evening. 

The final qualified ride of the evening belonged to Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania). 

The 2024 Velocity Tour Champion rode West Coast Rain (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) for 77.5 points in Round 1 before bucking off Top Sauce (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) in 6.85 seconds in Round 2. 

The fifth-place finish garnered Cole 9 Velocity Global points. 

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May. 

In the bull pen, Hammer Down was marked 44 points for his opening-round buckoff of Souza to win the Bull of the Event title. 

The PBR Stockyards Showcase returns on Thursday, April 17. Action inside Cowtown Coliseum will get underway at 7:30 p.m. CT.
