FORT WORTH, Texas – At the 100th iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Davi Henrique de Lima (Candido Mota, Brazil) went 2-for-2 to take home the event title. 

The only rider to cover both of his animal athlete opponents Thursday night, Lima rode Rafter H 124 (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for 83.5 points in Round 1 and Magic Mike (Kameron Scruggs) for 79.5 points in Round 2. 

The victory earned Lima 55 Velocity Global points. 

In second place was Jeferson Silva (Pontese Lacerda, Brazil). 

After bucking off Rafter H 717 (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) in 5.14 seconds in Round 1, Silva made the 8 atop Boot Barns Blue Collar (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for an event-high 85.5 points to win Round 2. 

The silver finish garnered Silva 36 Velocity Global points. 

Caden Fitzpatrick (Paulson, Montana) took the final spot on the podium. 

The Montana cowboy won the opening round by riding Rafter H 1326 (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for 84.5 points in Round 1 but was unable to compete in Round 2. 

The opening round win netted Fitzpatrick 26 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 featured a tie between Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil) and Leonardo Castro (Cassilandia, Brazil). 

Cerqueira rode Rafter H 1201 (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for 81 points in Round 1 while Castro topped Mean Machine (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) for 81 points of his own. 

In Round 2, Cerqueira was bucked off by Ridin’ Dirty (Scruggs/Bishop) in 1.22 seconds and Castro was bested by Problem Child (Bierema Rodeo Inc./Cooper/Scruggs Bucking Bulls) in 1.59 seconds. 

Both left Cowtown Coliseum with 17.5 Velocity Global points. 

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May. 

In the bull pen, Ridin’ Dirty, Stewey (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) and Shredder (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) were all marked 43.5 points to split the Bull of the Event title. 

The PBR Stockyards Showcase returns on Thursday, May 22. Action inside Cowtown Coliseum will get underway at 7:30 p.m. CT.
