EUGENE, Ore. – After the opening round of the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s (PWVT) PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Eugene, Callum Miller (Warwick, Queensland, Australia) sits alone atop the leaderboard.

Paired with Peanut (Humpz and Hornz) in the opening round, Miller converted for 86.5 points.

The round win netted the Aussie cowboy 28 Velocity Global points.

Conner Halverson (Gordon, Nebraska) finished second. The Cornhusker cowboy rocketed out of the gates on Re Do (Corey & Lange Rodeo) for 85.5 points and left Matthew Knight Arena with 18 Velocity Global points. 

In third place was Brody Robinson (Galax, Virginia). Giving the nod aboard Nickleback (Big Bend/Flying Five), Robinson made the 8 for 83.5 points. The Virginian earned 17 Velocity Global points for his performance Friday night.

Tanner Eno (Coronation, Alberta, Canada) finished fourth. Tasked with Pearl Jam (Erickson Cattle Company), Eno sat tall for 83 points. The fourth-place finish garnered Eno 16 Velocity Global points.

Aaron Williams (Pismo Beach, California), Grayson Cole (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania), and Bob Mitchell (Steelville, Missouri) tied for fifth Friday night.

Williams rode Fire & Ice (Legacy Pro Rodeo) for 82 points, while Mitchell matched him aboard Dream On (Corey & Lange Rodeo) and Cole rode Wilson (NS Cattle Co) for 82 points each.

All three cowboys earned 14 Velocity Global points.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

PBR Eugene concludes with Round 2 and the championship round tomorrow, Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m. PT.

While the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour bucked in Eugene, the elite Unleash The Beast bucked in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
