OAKLAND, Calif. – As the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s (PWVT) PBR Oakland rolled to a close on Saturday night, 22-year-old Bob Mitchell (Steelville, Missouri) triumphantly clinched the event win at the final regular-season event of 2025. 

Mitchell first landed on the leaderboard in Round 1 earlier in the evening, tying for second place after making the whistle aboard It’s Ok for 83 points. 

The Missouri cowboy continued the momentum into the championship round by conquering his muscular bovine opponent Cracky Chan, recording 86 points and becoming the only man to go 2-for-2. 

Mitchell leaves Oakland with 125.5 Velocity Global points and now sits at No. 3 in the Velocity Standings. 

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

Afonso Quintino (Sao Luis Dos Montes Belos, Brazil) started Saturday evening out perfectly, capturing the Round 1 win after making the 8 aboard Swamp Man for 84 points.

Despite being launched by Cowboy Tuxedo in the championship round after 1.82 seconds, Quintino earned 78 Velocity Global points for his second-place finish and is now the No. 1 man in the Velocity Standings.

Oklahoma cowboy Wyatt Rogers (Hulbert, Oklahoma) finished in third place for the evening in Oakland. 

In the opening round, Rogers was paired with Fright Night, where he shared second place with Mitchell with a matching 83 points.

Looking ahead to the championship round, Rogers was paired with Hell Bent. Unfortunately for the cowboy, the animal athlete won the matchup, throwing him to the dirt in 5.38 seconds. 

Leaving Oakland, Rogers earned 53.5 Velocity Global points and is now No. 18 in the Velocity Standings. 

19-year-old Ethan Winckler (Winnie, Texas) launched from the chutes in Round 1 aboard Bruisin’ for a resounding 82.5 points. 

In the championship round, he was paired with Cyrus. To the California fans dismay, he hit the dirt early, at 4.41 seconds. 

Winckler earned 37 Velocity Global points for his fourth-place finish and is now at No. 4 in the Velocity Standings. 

Rounding out the Top 5 at the Oakland Arena was Eli Vastbinder (Statesville, North Carolina).

In Round 1, Vastbinder launched from the chutes making quick work of Dirty Dog for 81 points. 

Despite not competing in the championship round, Vastbinder gained 32 Velocity Global points and now sits at No. 34 in the Velocity Standings. 

The talented bull riders of the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will next head to Corpus Christi, Texas, for the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals at American Bank Center Arena May 2-3.
