Key Storylines
This weekend begins the spring gauntlet, during which the riders face three-day events on three consecutive weekends. A daunting task, to be sure, but with three-day events come more points to be earned, and that’s the name of the game with just six regular-season events remaining before the PBR World Finals. No. 2 Dalton Kasel has won two events in a row, but No. 1 Brady Fielder has rattled off four consecutive Top-5 finishes to prevent him from gaining enough ground to take over the top spot. Kasel trails Fielder by just 88 points, and with 100 points up for grabs just for winning the aggregate, this one’s going to be critical. Plus, this weekend sees the conclusion of the Arizona Ridge Riders vs. Oklahoma Wildcatters series of the Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World. Can Arizona close out the sweep, or will Oklahoma earn some redemption?
