KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – As an electric Saturday night crowd in Knoxville, Tennessee, watched on, Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) rode supreme, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s PBR Knoxville inside Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

Lane first put points on the board in Round 1 when he delivered the eighth best score, covering Justified (Obernagel/Sho-Me Rodeo) for 80.5 points.

The winningest rider in Velocity Tour history then cemented the victory when he won the championship round, dancing with Cash On Back (Campbell Cattle Co./Cannon Cattle Co.) for 85.5 points.

Courtesy of a double entry, Lane also finished sixth. The additional Top 10 finish was headlined by an 82.5-point ride aboard Sin City (LH Cattle Co./Bucking W Farms) from Round 1.

Lane left the Volunteer State having won a combined 139 points in the race for the 2025 PBR Velocity Tour Championship.

Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil), who rides for the Florida Freedom in the separate PBR Teams league, was second, earning 78 Velocity Global points.

Cerqueira won Round 1 with the high-marked ride of PBR Knoxville, besting Oreo (Dustin Denning Bucking Bulls) for 86 points. The reserved Brazilian, however, was denied the event win when he was bucked off by Blonde Bomber (Austin Rodeo Ranch) in a swift 3.28 seconds in the final round.

Third was Thomas Hudson (Dungog, New South Wales, Australia).

Going 1-for-2, the Australian earned 54 Velocity Global points for his 85.5-point effort atop Caesar (BMC Bucking Bulls/Rafter G) from Round 1.

Carlos Garcia (Abingdon, Virginia) parlayed an 84.5-point ride on Wild Fire (Blake Sharp/Cody Gill) in Round 1 into a fourth-place finish. He left the Volunteer State having earned 38 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Hayden Harris (Tahlequah, Oklahoma).

Harris collected 33 Velocity Global points courtesy of his 84-point ride on Bomb Diggity (Davis Rodeo Ranch) in Round 1.

In the bull pen, Blonde Bomber bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was marked an unrivaled 45 points in the championship round when he bucked off Cerqueira.

The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour next travels to Fairborn, Ohio, and Wheeling, West Virginia, on March 21-22.

Cooper Tires PBR Dayton at Nutter Center begins at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, March 21, and 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 22. PBR Wheeling at WesBanco Arena gets underway at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, March 21, and 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 22.
