PBR Teams’ Austin Gamblers, Texas Rattlers Name Land.com sponsor of “Texas Cup” rivalry

Texas-Based Land.com partners with 2023, 2024 PBR Teams Champions.

By PBR

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Gamblers and Texas Rattlers of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series announced today that Land.com will be the title sponsor of their Texas Cup rivalry.

Among the five team rivalries created in the PBR Camping World Team Series, which began competing in 2022, the only one between two league champions – the 2024 PBR Teams Champion Austin Gamblers and 2023 PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers – is deadlocked at seven wins apiece.

Rivalry games occur in PBR Teams during the Unleash The Beast season, when teams play three head-to-head exhibition games as part of the Monster Energy Team Challenge presented by Camping World, and during the regular season and potentially the playoffs.

In the 2025 regular season, which begins in July and runs through Championship weekend in Las Vegas October 24-26 at T-Mobile Arena, the Gamblers and Rattlers will go head-to-head four times.

“We're absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with two champion bull riding teams from right here in the Lone Star State,” said Land.com President Grant Taylor. “As a proud Texas-based company, Land.com is so excited to team up with organizations that share our deep love for the same rural communities and traditions that have shaped sports like Professional Bull Riding. We truly hope that, together, we can help folks turn their dream of owning a piece of that rural life into a reality.”

Today’s announcement marks the first brand entitlement for any of the five rivalries created in the PBR Teams League.

The next edition of the Land.com Texas Cup will take place this weekend on Friday, March 28, during the opening round of the elite Unleash The Beast event in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of the Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World. The game will be televised on CBS Television Network on Sunday, March 30, at 11 a.m. CT.

“For a rivalry as big as Texas, we knew we needed a partner that represented big things,” said Gamblers CEO, J.J. Gottsch. “Texas has 172 million acres, and for someone looking to find their own open space in the Lone Star state, there is no better way than Land.com – and we look forward to spreading that message through our unique platform.”

In winning two of the league’s first three world titles, the Texas Rattlers and Austin Gamblers have firmly etched their name in the league’s record books. Both compete under the leadership of bull riding icons. PBR Co-Founder Cody Lambert coaches the Rattlers, while PBR Co-Founder and 1997 PBR World Champion Michael Gaffney and three-time PBR World Champion Adriano Moraes are at the helm of the Gamblers.

The Austin Gamblers finished atop the league’s regular season standings in 2022 and 2023 before riding their way to the 2024 PBR Teams Championship last October. Their rival and the 2023 PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers are based less than three hours north up I-35 in Fort Worth, Texas.

"Texan pride runs deep, fueling some of the most intense and passionate rivalries in sports history,” said Ariat Texas Rattlers President Chad Blankenship. “Among them, the Rattlers vs. Gamblers rivalry has emerged as the league’s most electrifying showdown. We’re excited to team with Land.com - the premier leader in helping fans claim their own piece of Texas - to further amplify the battle for home dirt.”

In 2022, Texas won the series by winning three of the five contests, taking the lead when the Rattlers eliminated the Gamblers from the post-season tournament in Las Vegas. Austin swept the first three games against the Rattlers to grab rivalry bragging rights in 2023, but Texas battled back to dominate their last two meetings of the season, including defeating the Gamblers 355.25-265.25 in the 2023 Championship Game. The Texas Rattlers reclaimed the series lead in 2024, but Austin got their revenge by running the gauntlet to win their own PBR Teams Championship and dethrone the defending champion Rattlers.

Following their game in Albuquerque, the Rattlers and Gamblers will play the final Land.com Texas Cup game of the 2025 Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, on April 18 in Nampa, Idaho.

During the 2025 PBR Teams Season, Texas and Austin will play four Land.com Texas Cup games, with one contest being held during Gambler Days at the Moody Center in Austin on August 22-24 and one being held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on September 26-28. Two additional games will be held during two of the remaining 10 other regular-season events.
