It’s been some time since we’ve welcomed a fresh new face to the winner’s circle, but this past weekend, Paulo Eduardo Rossetto took home his first-ever event buckle. Plus, the rookie race heated up, the Austin Gamblers evened their series against the Texas Rattlers, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
On a weekend where the top riders in the UTB standings slumped, Paulo Eduardo Rossetto took advantage. He went 3-for-4 to win the PBR Albuquerque Ty Murray Invitational, climbing to No. 6 in the standings in the process.
Rossetto began his weekend with a Round 1 win thanks to a huge 90.75-point ride.
It took another 90-point ride to win Round 2 for Ethan Winckler – the first time in his career that he crossed the 90-point threshold.
The Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, featured the Austin Gamblers taking on the Texas Rattlers in a matchup that featured the No. 1 and No. 2 riders in the UTB standings. But never count the underdogs out, as Ramon de Lima secured the win for Austin.
Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…
It was a big weekend for Marcus Mast, as the veteran won Round 1 in Fresno, California…
…and went on to take home the event win, his second of the season.
