Starting lineups, draw revealed for PBR Salt Lake City

Arizona Ridge Riders, Oklahoma Wildcatters embrace Monster Energy Team Challenge Feb. 7.

By James Youness

FORT WORTH, Texas –  Sitting atop the 2025 Unleash The Beast standings, No. 1 Brady Fielder remains in control of his own destiny.

Just as the other 40-some riders do, who continue to grit their ways to a potential spot competing inside AT&T Stadium May 17-18 during the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Championship.

But with a young, quickly-healing No. 2 John Crimber suddenly back in the fold this weekend, Fielder and everybody else lacing ‘em up in Week 12 know they’d be wise to string some encouraging performances together.

Because the kid is back. And he’s coming for the gold buckle.

Just a mere 71.5 points back of his Australian competitor, Crimber has remained ranked Top 5 in almost every category he can despite missing the tour’s past two stops due to an injury he sustained in Houston, Texas.

Set to dance with Whip during Round 1 inside Delta Center, will Crimber be able to turn on the theatrics during his return to the premier series chutes?

Of course, with January officially being dedicated to several of the tour’s veterans, including Fielder, Lucas Divino and Luciano De Castro, who broke some rather lengthy UTB title droughts, we very much expect some of the circuit’s established cowboys to hold up their end of the deal.

Seeing Castro win his first event buckle in nearly seven years was quite the treat.

And with his Arizona Ridge Riders preparing to duke it out with the Oklahoma Wildcatters during the next iteration of Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World action, the No. 3-ranked rider has plenty of reasons to keep his run going strong Friday night in Salt Lake City.

2025 PBR Unleash The Beast Standings:
1. Brady Fielder (549 points)
2. John Crimber (477.5 points)
3. Luciano De Castro (455 points)
4. Lucas Divino (411.5 points)
5. Dalton Kasel (379 points)
6. Sage Steele Kimzey (305.75 points)
7. Julio Cesar Marques (298.33 points)
8. Cort McFadden (297.75 points)
9. Keyshawn Whitehorse (272 points)
10. Derek Kolbaba (252 points)

Joining Crimber in returning to competition, No. 18 Alan de Souza looks to get back in the swing of things as he continues to chase down his career-best No. 5 finish from 2024.

On another international note, Australian Callum Miller joins Fielder in providing some talent from “Down Under” after accepting an invite to the big tour courtesy of his big win last weekend during a Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Laredo, Texas.

Unfortunately, No. 10 Derek Kolbaba will be sitting this one out after getting roughed up last weekend in Sacramento, California.
