#InCaseYouMissedIt: Riders dominate in Jacksonville, but Richardson shines the brightest

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

At the Michelob ULTRA PBR Jacksonville, everyone was determined to stay on, but nobody did it better than Austin Richardson. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the Unleash The Beast…

In Jacksonville, eight men went 3-for-3, there were eight rides in the championship round, and the event riding percentage was 56.25%. Despite that gauntlet, Austin Richardson took home his first Unleash The Beast event win in more than a year.

2018 World Champion Kaique Pacheco notched the Round 1 victory with a 90-point ride, quietly moving closer to the Top 10 of the standings.

The Florida Freedom took on the New York Mavericks in their second rivalry game of the Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World. While the Mavericks won on their home turf in January, it was the Freedom’s turn to cash in on their home-field advantage.

Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…

Aussie Qynn Andersen won Round 1 of the PBR Reno in Nevada

but Pokey Houghton went 2-for-3 to secure his first-ever Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event win.

On the opposite side of the country in Worcester, Massachusetts, Marcus Mast won Round 1 of the Beatbox PBR Worcester

but Afonso Quintino turned in his second consecutive event-winning performance.

In the Touring Pro Division…

Bruno Carvalho outrode world No. 1 Brady Fielder and No. 6 Lucas Divino to take home the win at the PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.

At the PBR Teams combine in Brazil…

The best bull riders in Brazil gathered in Icem to take part in the first-ever PBR Teams combine outside the United States, ushering in a new era of the sport.

Despite some cultural differences, representatives from all 10 teams were impressed by the talent they witnessed—look for some new names in the 2025 PBR Teams draft!
