YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – After the opening night of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Youngstown, Ethan Winckler (Winnie, Texas), Lucas Fideles Souza (Barnstable, Massachusetts) and Joao Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, Brazil) sit tied atop the leaderboard.

Winckler topped Flash (Sterk Bucking Bulls) for 87.5 points in Round 1, while Souza matched him for 87.5 points of his own atop JT Spot (Chicken Hill Buckin Bulls) and Campos rode Dang, Dang (Waymore Bucking Bulls) for 87.5 points as well.

All three riders netted 21 Velocity Global points for their efforts Friday night.

In fourth place was Dawson Gleaves (Amarillo, Texas).

Tasked with Roc Solid (‘Diggers Bucking Bulls/K Bar C Bucking Bulls), the Texan stormed out of the chutes for 87 points.

Gleaves left Covelli Centre with 16 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia).

The veteran roared out of the gate atop Senor Carrots (Sappington Bucking Stock/Rafter G Rodeo) for 86.5 points.

The ride garnered Lane 15 Velocity Global points.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

While the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour bucked in Youngstown and Reading, Pennsylvania, the elite Unleash The Beast took over Delta Center for PBR Salt Lake City in Utah.
