By Andrew Hatfield

FORT WORTH, Texas – At the 92nd iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Bruno Carvalho (Alvares Florence, Brazil) went 2-for-2 to take home the event title.

After topping Chicken Joe (Prophet Bucking Bulls) for a round-winning 87 points in Round 1, Carvalho danced in perfect time with CMSR 133 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for an event-high 88 points in the final round.

Winning the event and both rounds secured Carvalho a critical 62 Velocity Global points.

In second place was Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil).

Paired with Moonshine (Mike Johnson) in Round 1, the Brazilian rocketed out of the chutes for 86 points.

Sitting in a tie for second heading into the final round, Divino topped Cowtown Special (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for another 86 points in Round 2 to claim the second spot on the podium.

The silver finish netted Divino 45.5 Velocity Global points.

Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) also went a perfect 2-for-2 and finished third.

The No. 1-ranked rider on the elite Unleash The Beast tour, Fielder covered Free Willy (Prophet Bucking Bulls) for 84 points in Round 1.

Finding his groove, the Australian cowboy rode Heavy Lifting (Stockyards Pro Rodeo/Winston/Melton Bull Co) for 85.5 points in the final round.

The perfect performance earned Fielder 32 Velocity Global points.

Fourth place belonged to Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil).

In Round 1, the Brazilian shot out of the chutes aboard MILO 612H (Mike Johnson) for 86 points.

Tasked with CMSR 010 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in Round 2, Cerqueira converted for 82 points.

Cerqueira left Cowtown Coliseum with 30.5 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Maikon Calixton Rocha (Orindiuva, Brazil).

While he started strong by riding Too Tall (Prophet Bucking Bulls) for 85.5 points in Round 1, Rocha was bucked off by Shownuff Sober (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in 4.83 seconds during his final out.

The 1-for-2 outing garnered Rocha 16 Velocity Global points.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

In the bull pen, CMSR 133 was marked 43 points for his Round 2 out with Carvalho to win the Bull of the Event title.

The PBR Stockyards Showcase returns on Thursday, February 27. Action inside Cowtown Coliseum will get underway at 7:30 p.m. CT.
