GREENVILLE, S.C. – In front of a sold-out Saturday night crowd in Greenville, South Carolina, Afonso Quintino (São Luis dos Montes Belos, Brazil) rode a cut above the rest, delivering a 2-for-3 performance inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena to win the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s Cooper Tires PBR Greenville.
Quintino got off to a hot start Friday night, winning Round 1 after he went the distance on Ol Buddy (Blake Sharp/Jason Edmondson) for 85.5 points.
The reserved Brazilian maintained his spot atop the leaderboard in Round 2 when he delivered the second-best score, covering Rag Doll (J Bar W) for 84.5 points.
While Quintino bucked off in the championship round, tossed by Cash Goblin (Dave Martin/Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in 3.61 seconds, his opening scores proved enough to clinch the victory.
Courtesy of the golden finish, Quintino garnered a crucial 126 points in the race to be crowned the 2025 PBR Velocity Tour Champion.
On Saturday night, PBR continued to honor the community’s selfless heroes for their efforts in the wake of the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Helene. With an electric crowd on its feet in cheer, United Cajun Navy Head Operations Commander Tyler Poling was presented with the prestigious Be Cowboy Award, recognizing his unwavering support for the recovery efforts.
