SPOKANE, Wash. – After the dust settled for PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Spokane, Trace Redd (Malad, Idaho) sat alone atop the leaderboard, thus earning his first victory of 2025. 

The Idahoan rumbled out of the chutes during the final out of Round 1 aboard Dirty Deeds (Wentz Bucking Bulls) for 79 points. 

Building off that momentum, he rode Pay Pal (Wentz Bucking Bulls) for a round-winning 86 points in the second round to take the lead heading into the championship round. 

Despite being bucked off by Leather Face (Legacy Pro Rodeo) in 5.75 seconds, Redd had done enough to win his second career Velocity Tour event title. 

The win garnered Redd a critical 115 Velocity Global points. 

Conner Halverson (Gordon, Nebraska) finished second, going 1-for-3. 

Halverson originally bounded out the gate on Faded Dreams (Wentz Bucking Bulls) for a round-winning 85.5 points in the opening round but was bucked off by Maximum Velocity (Big Bend/Flying Five) in 4.18 seconds in Round 2. 

The cornhusker cowboy attempted to rebound in the championship round aboard Ain’t No Joke (Legacy Pro Rodeo) but was dispatched after 3.88 seconds. 

Halverson left Spokane Arena with 78 Velocity Global points. 

A four-way tie crowded the final spot on the podium, as Max Castro (Chiquimula, Guatemala), Gavin Knutson (Polson, Montana) and Chase Hamlin (Holton, Kansas) were joined by Redd, courtesy of a double-entry, in finishing third.  

In the opening round, Castro covered Tooth Fairy (Corey & Lange Rodeo), Redd rode Lone Ranger (Wentz Bucking Bulls) and Knutson sat tall atop Montana Moon (Wentz Bucking Bulls) for 83.5 points in their respective outs, while Hamlin was bucked off by Peace Out (Corey & Lange Rodeo) in 3.72 seconds. 

Flipping the script in Round 2, Hamlin was able to make the 8 for 83.5 points on Scrapper (Legacy Pro Rodeo) as Redd was bucked off by Austin’s Soldier (Legacy Pro Rodeo) in 2.33 seconds, Castro by Do IT (Corey & Lange Rodeo) in 3.06 seconds and Knutson by Sippy Cup (Corey & Lange Rodeo) in 5.47 seconds. 

Knutson, Castro and Redd each netted 38.5 Velocity Global points, while Hamlin took home 39.5 Velocity Global points. 

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May. 

In the bull pen, the aforementioned Ain’t No Joke and Train Station (Legacy Pro Rodeo) were both marked 44.5 points to split the Bull of the Event title. 

While the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour bucked in Spokane, Felipe Furlan (Sales Oliveira, Brazil) won the tour’s event in North Charleston, South Carolina, and the elite Unleash The Beast’s PBR Chicago at Allstate Arena was won by Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia).
