MR. 1000: No. 31 Joao Ricardo Vieira’s out against Sin City in Round 1 on Friday will make the veteran’s 1,000th career premier series out, making him the fifth cowboy in PBR history to reach the millennial milestone, joining 2004 PBR World Champion Mike Lee (1,181), three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves (1,175), 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (1,174) and two-time PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney (1,086). Still in search of his first gold buckle at the age of 40, the 2013 Rookie of the Year went 1-for-3 to finish 21st in New York City last weekend, topping Wild Card for 87.25 points in Round 1. The 2023 PBR Teams Championship MVP with the Texas Rattlers is currently 6-for-14 (42.9%) on the season.
