Key Storylines

The last two seasons have been dominated by rookies, with Rafael Jose de Brito (2023) and Cassio Dias (2024) winning world titles and the likes of John Crimber, Sage Kimzey, Kaiden Loud, Koltin Hevalow, Sandro Batista, Thiago Salgado, Daniel Keeping, and many others making their debuts. Another heralded rider is about to join the rookie ranks this season: Ky Hamilton. PBR fans might remember him from Team Australia at the 2018, 2020, and 2022 Global Cups, some time on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour in 2020 and 2022, and the Monster Energy Team Challenge during the summer of 2020. More recently, though, he became the PRCA bull riding world champion in 2023 and has been tearing up the Touring Pro Division, Challenger Series, and PBR Canada competition. In six events, he’s finished in the Top 5 at five, including a 1-2 finish with a double entry in Minot, North Dakota. Hamilton is committed to the Unleash The Beast this season, and he’ll definitely be one to watch.
