FORT WORTH, Texas – The first wave of cuts have come and gone, allotting the tour’s Top 35-ranked riders a path to continue competing within the premier series while relegating guys outside that group (short a few possible alternate invites) to the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT).
Which gives guys like No. 33 Derek Kolbaba, No. 34 Paulo Eduardo Rossetto and No. 35 Boudreaux Campbell, cowboys we very much consider tour regulars, another few weeks to ditch their caboose-riding efforts and make a jump up the standings before the next set of cuts approach.

All while allowing a few familiar faces to creep back into the fold via their standout efforts competing on the PWVT, Touring Pro Division (TPD) and internationally via PBR Australia, PBR Canada and PBR Brazil-based showcases.
That list of invites starts and stops with a man who’s enjoyed his fair share of rodeo success.
But, after stirring up some early-winter success, he’s decided to commit some time to the toughest circuit of bull riding in the business.
Fans who may keep an eye on or an ear to the PRCA circuit will be thrilled to know 2023 PRCA World Champion Ky Hamilton is in Friday night’s lineup, primed to dance with Let’s Go Brandon. Getting some reps in during a TPD event in Minot, North Dakota, back in late October, the Australian native claimed both first and second in the event via double entry.
Add in a fourth-place effort the weekend before during PBR Canada’s meet-up in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and it’s easy to see why the 24-year-old remains atop the current Velocity Global standings.
Trailing Hamilton by just 46.5 points, Jake Morinec received a call to the big tour as well, courtesy of his trio of podium-claiming performances from the late fall TPD window.
Originally claiming a third-place finish in Owensboro, Kentucky, he followed it up with an event win in Clarksville, Tennessee, last month before notching a runner-up effort the next weekend in Shipshewana, Indiana. Going 5-for-9 over said stretch, he’s now awaiting a date with Wicked In a Winning Way during Friday night’s opening round.
Having competed at the 2024 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast last year means he’s got plenty of talent and potential. Whether he can convert that skillset into a few more qualified rides this season remains to be seen.
Juggling his time between tours the past few seasons, Wyatt Rogers is also preparing to make his return to the sport’s biggest stage in Week 5 after drumming up some momentum in Shipshewana and Minot as well.
We know what Rogers can bring to the table when he’s feeling himself and know the locker room is always a bit more fun when the big-bodied cowboy is around.
Making their respective outright UTB debuts while serving as the final two “new kids on the block,” Vinicius Pinheiro Correa and Tanner Eno will stamp their premier series passports inside SNHU Arena for the first time.
Since making his stateside debut during the Challenger Series Championship in Las Vegas two months ago, Correa has been tearing up competition inside Cowtown Coliseum during PBR’s weekly Stockyard Showcase events. Officially 6-for-10 during the last four iterations of the competition inside the old barn, the Brazilian rider has logged a pair of wins, a runner-up effort and a No. 6 placement as he continues to excel against U.S.-born bovines.
The 26-year-old Canadian, Eno, punched his ticket succeeding north of the border, most recently turning in a fifth-place finish in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
It’s always nice seeing some familiar faces and fresh personalities join the bunch.
But that won’t change any of the tour’s established standings, existing standouts or trending up-and-comers who have already earned their respective spots, and some points, towards this year’s gold buckle-capturing race.

We’re talking about guys like Clay Guiton, who have been consistently grinding their way up the standings with consistent efforts. Veterans like Sage Steele Kimzey, who surged into the tour’s Top 3 standings thanks to flashy, round-winning rides.
Cowboys like Dalton Kasel, who’s arguably been the hottest rider on tour so far in 2025, thanks to epic, event-winning 90s like he threw down last weekend in Wichita, Kansas.
However, it’s still the 19-year-old John Crimber who sits atop the UTB standings during his spectacle start to his sophomore season.
Seeing Kasel trim the youngster’s lead to a mere 16 points last weekend, Crimber may have turned in another 90 last weekend, extending his tour-leading count to four through the circuit’s first four events. But his 1-for-3 record on the weekend suggests he’ll be ready to bounce back in a big way.
2025 PBR Unleash The Beast Global Standings:
1. John Crimber (318 points)
2. Dalton Kasel (302 points)
3. Sage Steele Kimzey (152 points)
4. Jose Vitor Leme (147.5 points)
5. Andrew Alvidrez (118.75 points)

7. Leonardo Castro (100.25 points)
