FRESNO, Calif. – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) will return to Save Mart Center for the ninth year for the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s PBR Fresno on March 28-29, once again pairing the top bull riders of PBR’s premier expansion tour with the supreme animal athletes of the sport.

For two nights only, 40 of the best bull riders from around the world will compete in one of the most exciting and unpredictable live sporting events, showcasing the ultimate matchups of the talented cowboys and remarkable animal athletes born to buck.

The PWVT plays a critical role for riders to reach the top levels of competition in professional bull riding, as showcased each year in Fresno. The weekend in California will mark the 26th  event of the 2025 PWVT season as riders vie for their spot in the standings.

With only four events remaining in the season after the two action-packed nights in Fresno, competition will be intense as riders look ahead to the PWVT Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas, May 2-3.

In 2024, the final moments inside Save Mart Center had the California crowd roaring as Utah cowboy Elijah Monnett (Glendale, Utah) collected his career-first event win.

Monnett first landed on the leaderboard in Round 1 on Friday, tying for third place after making the whistle aboard Candy Cane (Clay Struve/ Dakota Rodeo/ Chad Berger) for 83 points.

The 26-year-old kept the consistency going in Round 2 on Saturday when he made the eight aboard Blood Money (Cooper/ Scruggs Bucking Bulls) for a 73-point ride and a fourth-place finish. Heading into the championship round as the only man to go 2-for-2, he prepared for his matchup with Country Boy (Dakota Rodeo/ Chad Berger) but was no match for the athletic animal.

Despite his championship round buckoff, Monnett secured the No. 1 spot for the weekend in Fresno.

The top talent in the series, just like Monnett, will take to the dirt at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 28, followed by Round 2 and the championship round at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 29.

Tickets for the two-day event go on sale Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. PT. and range in price from $15 to $105. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and the Save Mart Center box office. PBR Fan Club members will also be able to purchase online at PBR.com or by calling (800) 732-1727.
