LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. – As the 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada season got underway Saturday night in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Tyler Craig (Crossfield, Alberta) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the Touring Pro Division’s PBR Winter Classic, and vault to the early No. 1 rank in the race for the PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,0000 bonus.
Craig swept both rounds of competition, winning Round 1 with an 86.5-point ride on Big Easy (Skori Bucking Bulls) before delivering the high-marked ride of the event in Round 2, besting Pyper (Foley Bucking Bulls) for 87 points.
Garnering 62 national points for the perfect 2-for-2 performance, Craig catapulted to the No. 1 rank in the Canadian national standings, now 16.5 points ahead of No. 2 Jake Gardner.
Gardner parlayed a 2-for-2 performance of his own into a runner-up finish, netting 45.5 national points.
Logging matching 85-point rides, Gardner made the 8 on Get Rhythm (Skori Bucking Bulls) and Patiently Waiting (Skori Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 and Round 2, respectively.
Griffin Koester (Rockyford, Alberta) was third.
Koester earned 32.5 national points for his 83-point ride on Night Fury (Skori Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, and 83.5-point trip aboard Black Jack (Skori Bucking Bulls) in Round 2.
The Alberta native is now ranked No. 3 in Canada, 29.5 points behind No. 1 Craig.
As the final rider to cover both of his draws in Lloydminster, Eric O’Flynn (Quesnell, British Columbia).
O’Flynn first rode Brimstone (Skori Bucking Bulls) for 82 points in Round 1, before outlasting Times A Wasting (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for a matching 82 points in the final round.
He returned home to British Columbia have earned 25.5 national points, ranked No. 4 in Canada, 36.5 points back of the top spot.
Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Tanner Eno (Coronation, Alberta).
After bucking off Woozy (Foley Bucking Bulls) in 3.03 seconds in Round 1, Eno rebounded in Round 2, besting World Wide (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for 85.5 points to crack the Top 5 in the event standings.
Collecting 17.5 national points, Eno is ranked an early No. 5 in Canada, 44.5 points back of the No. 1 rank.
In the bull pen, Big Easy, Pyper and Shocker (Vold Rodeo) tied for the Bull of the Event honor, each marked an unrivaled 42 points. Big Easy and Pyper posted the scores during their trips with Craig, while Shocker earned the marks for tossing Wyatt Fenning (North Battleford, Saskatchewan) in 2.19 seconds in Round 2.
The 2025 PBR Canada season continues Saturday, December 7 as the Touring Pro Division travels to Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and Ovintiv Events Centre. Action for PBR Dawson Creek begins at 7 p.m. MST.
